One of the best reasons to get a sports massage is to help your muscles, tendons and joints move through their proper range of motion and stay in optimum shape. Massage is only part of your recovery. We also help you work out the cause of injury and prescribe remedial exercise to reduce the chance of ongoing issues or further injury.

Sometimes our lifestyle and day to day movement patterns can cause stiffness, pain, injury, poor mobility, low mood, poor sleep, and illness. Through changing some of these lifestyle and movement patterns we can feel better in ourselves and more able to achieve the goals we desire. I use Pilates and Yoga based exercise techniques, but I may just recommend simple changes at home or work that can make a huge difference.

The training there is of the highest standards in anatomy and physiology and practical application of massage, muscle energy techniques and soft tissue release. I've played field hockey locally for over 15 years and I'm keen runner. Therefore, very aware of what injuries can occur during sporting activity, as well as how occupational and life stresses can impact on the body to stop us feeling and performing at our best.
Dry Needling is a very successful treatment, which uses very fine needles without any medication (a dry needle) to achieve its aim. It is used to treat pain and dysfunction caused by trigger points and inflammation. It is not like Acupuncture used in Chinese medicine, which aims to treat imbalance of the body's energy or Qi.
Indian Head Massage is a treatment that focuses on the upper back, shoulders, neck, upper arms, face and scalp. During treatment tensions are eased and fiborous knots can melt away. There will be an improvement to circulation, toxins are dispersed from tense muscles, and flexibility is restored. Can provide relief from Tension Headaches, Migraine, Insomnia, Sinusitis and congestion, Ear Ache, Eye Strain, Tinnitus, Aching Jaw.
The classes are designed to work for any level. There is some traditional elements, but mostly it's all about moving well and learning your body. I will layer up the exercises, starting at level 1, then I will give more ad-vanced variations or modifications where desired. There is always some part of the posture or exercise that will work for you, then we build from there.
