The nursery is situated in the heart of the Sussex countryside in a converted barn with stunning rural views. We have created our unique setting with the passion and purpose of providing rich enabling environments for our children to thrive. We know that only the best will do for your child so that is why we are always striving to do everything we can to be one step ahead in our child care and education. Loose Parts - Resources that offer value to play, bringing a mix of textures and stimulus that no plastic cartoon embossed tea set can offer.
At Young Haymakers, we understand how daunting the prospect of leaving other people to look after your child can be. Initially, starting at nursery may be a very anxious experience, and this is not something we underestimate. As such we are committed to developing a partnership with parents from the very start to ensure that we meet the individual needs of your child.
The children are provided with a wide choice of tasty and healthy snacks at each session; this ensures a rich range of fruits, vegetables and carbohydrates are offered. Parents are invited to support our healthy eating policy by bringing in fruit and vegetables each week for snack. These contribution compliment the range we offer the children daily and widens the choices the children can make.
In our Oak Room the children benefit from our extensive, large outdoor space, which includes all year-round opportunities for play and learning outdoors. We have two Forest School sites at the Nursery and the older children can take advantage of daily Forest School adventures, equipped with high quality mud kitchen, bug habitat, fire pit site to inspire curiosity, discovery and learning adventures by our trained Forest School Leaders.
At Young Haymakers we continually strive to be reflective as a team to ensure our environment both inside and out are enabling for all of our young children to explore, learn and strive. In Early Years the levels of well-being are fundamental to children's development and progress. Thoughtful caring practitioners, ensure secure relationships are formed, building connections and helping children to settle into nursery life.

Young Haymakers is a wonderful Montessori Nursery. Both of my children have thrived in going to such a caring and nurturing environment. The staff are lovely and have helped us with any worries we have had with our children & are also quick to highlight the positives in the day they have had there. Set in beautiful farmland, with woods the children… visit a lot. Both of my children enjoy(ed) the outside play area, with climbing obstacles, sandpit, water play. They learn to grow plants and pick fruit to eat or use to cook something they can bring home! There is now forest school and lots

Totally disappointed was told my son could attend the nursery, after we looked round I tried phoning lots of times and also emailed after a couple of weeks had a phone call to tell me that they don't actually have the space!! Wasted so much time thinking we did, that now i may be forced to turn down my new job!!!!
