St Mary's Primary School
Cead Mile Failte Romhat to St. Mary's Primary School Fivemiletown. We are situated on the outskirts of Fivemiletown in County Tyrone. Our close proximity to St. Mary's Church, Fivemiletown Youth Annex and other public facilities facilitates excellent links between our school, parish and community. Our school is a happy, family-centred environment which is hard working and successful.

In St. Mary's, we believe that "OUR success is doing OUR best!" and we strive to ensure that each child has the opportunity to develop all of their strengths and talents and achieve their personal best. Our children are at the centre of everything that we do and we work together to promote the best possible education for every child.
Services
As a Catholic school, St. Mary's Primary School aims to provide all its pupils with the best education possible in a happy and caring environment, where every child can feel secure, valued and respected as an individual. We welcome all children into our community; to partake fully in school life, make friends and settle in.
We at St. Mary's are very aware of the potential risks involved when the children are using the Internet. We feel very strongly that the Internet is an excellent resource for learning but we recognise the need to educate children and adults on how to stay safe online. We promote the use of SMART rules in the classrooms and encourage the children to be mindful when working online.
Our Board of Governors aim to manage our school and ensure that every child receives the highest possible educational experience here at St. Mary's. My name is Louise Stewart and I am the Chair of the Board of Governors. I represent the Department of Education on the Board and I am a member of the Recruitment and Selection Panel appointing staff within the school.
There are pupils from every class. Mrs McGrenaghan, Mrs Monaghan and Michaela are also part of our green team. We live in a beautiful area and we want to keep it that way! Our Eco-Council motto is 'We are green, we keep our school clean'. We have very successfully achieved a bronze, silver and most importantly of all the GREEN FLAG award!
There has been a long history of shared education between St Mary's and Fivemiletown Primary School so we were delighted to be part of the Signature Project which helps to promote shared education within schools. We have developed links with Fivemiletown Nursery and the children in our school work closely with the children in both the Nursery and Fivemiletown Primary.
