Services
We in Carntall Primary, aim to make learning fun, purposeful and challenging. We value and acknowledge each one of our pupils as individuals. Within a happy, caring and safe environment, we seek to address individual needs and enable all our pupils to celebrate success. Each pupil is supported in the achievement of his or her full potential.
The Governing Body of Carntall Primary school is made up of dedicated individuals from a wide range of backgrounds. We are all volunteers who give our time to monitor and evaluate school practices to ensure management of the school are spending the budget wisely to ensure the best outcomes for all of the children.
Accelerated Reader is a powerful tool designed to meet the individual reading needs of every pupil. It is most effective when the school and home work together to promote individual reading. Pupils take a reading assessment called a "STAR TEST". This is a computerised reading test which is used to identify the pupil's reading age.
Mathletics is a web-based learning program that integrates home and school learning via the internet. The multi-award winning e-learning platform can be accessed any time from a computer by visiting www.mathletics.co.uk or it is also available to download as an App on iPad, Android and Windows devices.
EducationCity can be used at home as a way of getting involved with your child's schoolwork. Teachers can set homework using EducationCity, meaning children can continue their learning in the evenings, weekends and over the holidays to combat holiday learning loss. If you're a parent and your child has Home Access, this is a great way to see how your child is progressing at school.
