I was brought up in Redcar, just a stone's throw away from the beach in Coatham. And I've lived and worked in the area ever since. After qualifying I started in Saltburn, and then worked all around the area, whilst also bringing up a family, until I opened the Specsavers in Redcar in 1998. The many people that came to know me while I was there will remember the friendly, community feel that I strived to bring to the business.
And that years of experience in an optician counts for a lot. Since Specsavers and I parted company in 2011, I have worked in all of the major opticians, taking note of the good things that they do, and now I feel is the time to return to Redcar, to the town I know best and where the lovely people know me.

Julie Breen qualified as an optometrist in 1985. At that time she was working in Guisborough; pretty close to Redcar where she had lived since childhood. In the 30 years since then, Julie has been constantly delivering high quality eyecare in the Redcar area. In 1998, Julie opened the Specsavers branch in Redcar.
Here at IntelliSight have the most up to date equipment in a modern, open, friendly environment. Our professional staff are vastly experienced, knowledgeable and friendly, as are our support staff. We offer both NHS funded and Private Sight Tests. We supply Spectacles and Contact Lenses to suit any optical correction, and any requirement.

For the majority who qualify for free NHS eye tests, we have the knowledge and skills to help you further, right here at IntelliSight Opticians. Eligibility for NHS funded sight tests includes children under 16, those in fulltime education up to the age of 18, anyone 60 and over, people registered as visually impaired, those with diabetes, individuals who have or are at risk of glaucoma and those requiring complex lenses.
