Only there for drinks. VG local ales. Acceptable House White, Pinot Grigio. Charming rustic pub. Appealing menu, sufficiently enticing to warrant future dining.

Lovely location, venue and food, and the staff are just fabulous! Pretty seating out front and a nice patio garden out back. What a good way to spend a Sunday afternoon!

Nice pub with a good atmosphere. I had the risotto to start , lovely . unfortunately my main, the chicken with Parma ham, pesto and mozzarella was overcooked and dry so couldn't eat it. Hubby enjoyed his pork medallion dish a lot !

An enjoyable lunch for five of us last Wednesday was only spoilt by the unsmiling young blond lady behind the bar.If she cracked her face a little and actually looked as if she was enjoying (not suffering) her job I would have been more generous with my tip.The young man serving us (Troy?) was pleasant and efficient.

Cosy, comfortable old English country pub and restaurant. Beams aplenty. Serving good quality food in generous portions. Friendly staff. Prompt service without feeling rushed.
Recommend booking as was very busy when we were there (Thursday).

We came for Sunday lunch a couple of days ago. We've been before and food was excellent, so decided to go again.
Service was great, we were very well looked after by all the waitresses.
But the food was not as good as before. The beef was tough, my partner's cauliflower-cheese had no cheese on it.
My partner also thought the gravy came from a sachet, i thought it was alright.
At £17.50 per plate I'd expect it to be perfect. We'll probably go somewhere else for Sunday roast next time.

The butternut squash, red pepper, chickpea and halloumi burger is ok, the curry is a lot especially for the elders. The Cheesecake as well as the chocolate banana bread and butter pudding were nothing to rave about, the service was good although food took awhile to arrive. Drinks non- wine listed drinks menu would have been helpful!

We really enjoyed our lunch today ( Sunday) good roast menu and nice big portions. Delicious desserts snd we all enjoyed the cheesecake. Lovely friendly service and great pub. Will definitely be back.
Only thing missing was a veggie roast option on the specials board that we later overhead someone ordered via a veggie option on the menu with the roast.
Delicious thanks all
