The Longman, or the Wilmy as we're affectionately known, takes the concept of the traditional local pub and raises the game with an excellent Thai kitchen and regular live music. We also proudly boast some of the best Sunday roasts in Brighton. With live music events every month and a lively atmosphere you can always be sure of a good time at The Longman.

The Longman is the founding member of the Golden Lion Group, a Brighton & Hove based family pub group. You'll find us on Wilmington Way in Patcham where we look forward to welcoming you! The Longman is all about the entertainment and a great lively atmosphere. We host many a great live act during our 'Live at The Longman' on the first Saturday of every month.

HORRID LANDLORD!! We booked a Thai meal to celebrate our anniversary but was advised on arrival he'd mixed the dates up. They squeezed the four of us on a table suitable for two at best, no offers of a complimentary drink for the inconvenience. The food was nice but an already spoiled evening was made worse by the same small man spilling a drink from the tray into my sons lap and then claiming he was "too busy" to clean it up, which I found hard to believe seeing as the pub was a ghost town, we'd also had no offer to be moved to a larger table by this point! Won't be drinking in a Golden Lion Group

Staff are truly welcoming, and helpful. The atmosphere is SO COSY, clean, and comfortable with excellent, classy decor. I LOVE the food, which is well designed, hot, and tasty to a high standard. Every minute there is in perfect taste.❤️🌺

Outdoor seating area is very nice, both shaded and sunny areas. Unfortunately the roast dinner didn't have much flavour. Overall under seasoned on the potatoes, pork belly crackling was soft and pigs in blankets come on a plate soaked in gravy.

Fantastic Thai food, we have been ordering to collect most weeks since they reopened during the first lockdown!
I phone ahead with my order, am given an accurate time to come down and pick it up! Great Chicken Pad Thai and Tofu stir fry with cashew nuts!
Handling covid restrictions very well, feel very safe picking my order up!
No photo of the food I’m afraid as we were too keen to eat!! 😄
