We have an eclectic mix of friendly (dog obsessed) staff here at our family run pub. We have a huge pub garden, which is host to heated booths, a grassy area as well as a really old traditional red phone box. We have a fully loaded bar, ranging from a crazy selection of beautiful rums and gins, to real ales both quirky and bottled to traditional and draughted, IPA's and a menu of 8 handpicked red and white wines.
Champagne and Prosecco to suit all budgets, as well as coffees and hot drinks to boot! Our kitchen is headed up by Edd, formally of 2 Rosette 'The Wykeham Arms' and Three Choirs Vineyards. Edd 's approach to food is to deliver casual dining using the very best ingredients many of which are grown on a small holding and the neighbouring farms surrounding his home village.

We are a lively gastro pub in the heart of Hove with a long and rich history. Our large, beautiful building has been a very well-known hotel for many years, before being home to a variety of venues. Now the prior old Portland hotel accommodates two fabulous hospitality businesses The Stoneham Gastro Pub & Pulp juice bar.
The food is fantastic! The Korean wings are my favourite but so many good options to have! I came with my friends for my birthday and had so much fun and the food was worth travelling from Worthing for! Booked their function room for my wife's 21st (40th) Birthday Party. Great little room. Comfortably accommodated the 30 guests and the food was a big hit with the guests too.

Drinks were OK, staff were friendly but ordering took a while so not enough staff were obviously on as it wasn't particularly busy in there. First time we went we ordered snacks, nachos were home cooked and food was nice. Second time (only a week later) food was disgusting. Nachos were cheap shop brought ones with what tasted like a tin of tomatoes not salsa on top, wings were tiny amounts and tasted horrible. Will never chance buying food in their again as it certainly wasn't cheap for what you got. Probably won't bother with the pub again personally.

A really really lovely pub. The staff were fantastic and couldn't do enough for us. Although there wasn't a massive selection of food, it was new years eve so that's understandable. The food was very very tasty and filling and the drinks were well made and great.
The pub had an 80s band on that was brilliant and very fun. A perfect way to bring in 2022.

Poor. And consistently poor. Came a few weeks ago as it was the only option available at short notice. Staff face masks hanging off their chins. Family member served pint of ale that was off - replaced and fair enough. Lack of decent craft beer options. Lots of food options unavailable due to lack of stock. Told 4 mins before 6pm that kids under 12 not welcome after 6 - we still had full drinks and kids had food on their plates and pub was near empty. Service lacklustre at best - definite lack of training from management - a few hours extra training for bar staff could make the world of difference

The MOST lovely atmosphere. Kid friendly, dog friendly, roaring open fire Contemporary fun decor. Particularly lovely manager called Sadie took great carr of us. Lots of yummy food, We had the Korean wings which are divine and not too spicy. Clean, fun, good choice of wines, gins, rums, all of it is good. Really can't fault it.

Not only would I want to eat their food again, but next time I go in there, I intend on asking them who designed their interior. It's absolutely stunning - vintage furniture with a modern feel. As for the food, it was really rather lovely. The portions are really quite large and certainly very tasty indeed. It can get a bit noisy sometimes though - especially during the day when lots of young mothers bring their children in and let them run around whilst you try to eat.

The Stoneham has become a second home for my monthly book club. We haven't given up on the Westbourne completely, but it no longer serves food on a Monday night and sometimes we get a little peckish for something a little more substantial than words!
It is part of the same group that run The Connaght and The Dyke so the formula is recognisable. The place has been recently refurbished, and is light an airy while retaining is pubby feel with real open fires.
There is plenty of space so it's great for big groups, and in addition to the main restaurant area there is also a function room

If you are looking for a quiet after work pub then at 5 to 6 pm its best avoided as the place does get a bit infested with children. Having said that, if you have children then this is a perfect family friendly eatery. Live music on a Sunday night. Beer prices are average. Pizza tasted rather 'chain produced'. Sort of Dimino/pizza hut/type. However for the price and the reasonable decor it is reasonable. After the children have gone home to bed the atmosphere changes to a more reasonable one. In an area with limited places to eat and drink this isn't a bad place though.
