Escape to Wild Air Guest House on the South Coast of Cornwall where you'll enjoy breathtaking views across Mevagissey Harbour, St Austell Bays, and mile upon mile of glorious coastline, all from the comfort of your room and from the breakfast room too. Set in a prime coastal location right on the Coastal Path, Wild Air is one of the finest original period properties along Polkirt.

Your hosts Clare and Mike have been the proud owners since 1999, offering their guests exceptional accommodation, delicious freshly prepared breakfasts, and a first class service with attention to detail guaranteed. Mevagissey is perfectly positioned for you to explore the surrounding area. With its good network of roads it's the perfect base for taking day trips anywhere in Cornwall.
Services
Each room is comfortably furnished and tastefully decorated, with huge attention to detail. Egyptian Cotton Sheets, duck down & feather duvets and pillows adorn each bed. All rooms have bay windows offering breathtaking views of Mevagissey Harbour, the Bay and out to sea. Binoculars are provided for you to enjoy watching the fishing trawlers unload their catch and to admire the many miles of coastal scenery.
Our breakfast room has a magnificent view looking out to the Lighthouse Quay, Mevagissey Bay and the coastline beyond. Our guests share a large table where the personal hospitality, intimate atmosphere, excellent food and lively conversation will be first class. We offer a feast of delicious options using locally sourced, home grown and home made produce.
Just a few minutes walk will take you down into the picturesque 14th Century fishing village of Mevagissey where you can while away hours and hours especially if you are blessed with good weather. The old centre has very narrow streets with an array of independent shops, art galleries, potteries, and an excellent selection of cafes, pubs and restaurants catering for every taste.
Building From family friendly beaches such as Porthcurno, through to a Fistral Beach a surfers paradise where surgers visit from all over the world. Castles in the sand, searching for sea shells, hunting for crabs in the rock-pools of a sheltered cove, or just wanting to dip your toe in turquoise waters, it's easy to see why visitors return to Cornwall year after year.
The world renowned Lost Gardens of Heligan are only a short distance from our beautiful location, in fact you can see Heligan House from on our patio! The gardens were lost for many years under mountains of ivy, bramble and laurel. Heligan is the largest European garden restoration project ever attempted.

Always a friendly welcome. Always a spotlessly clean room. We have stayed here several times and booked for next year already.

Such a nice place to stay. Very clean and tidy. Our room was immaculate and had a lovely view of Mevagissey. The cooked vegan breakfast was great too. Highly recommended!

Unprofessional, bad mannered and intimidating
I came across Wild Air and its host Clare on Airbnb when I sent her this message: “we are a couple travelling and WORKING at the same time remotely, we would like to have to ask you if the Wi-Fi is strong enough for 2 people WORKING, we need 2 chairs and a table for it :)” Clare immediately responded asking me to call her as she didn’t use Airbnb (even though WildAir is listed on AirBnB). We spoke and she confirmed she had a good WiFi connection so I went ahead and paid the deposit via her own website. She didn't ask for any details about our

Room 3 here probably has the best view in all of Mevagissey. Very friendly staff and the concept of all visitors having breakfast together around the same table is brilliant. Although due to Covid-19 only two rooms can be around the table at this time.

Clare and Mike's hospitality is second to none. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it was partly thanks to them (and partly down to the Cornish coastline of course).
Views amazing, great breakfast and lovely conversation. If you don't stay here then you're seriously missing out!!
Thank you Clare and Mike!

Stayed at Wild Air B&B Mevagissey, lovely rooms, very tastefully decorated. The views over the harbour and lighthouse are amazing. Private off road parking included, as long as you have nerves of steel to take on single tracked and steep Polkirt Hill, but the sense of achievement you get when you reach the top is worth it. Lovely choice of breakfasts. Lovely hosts. Highly recommended. Would stay here again.
