Rothbury Golf Club
Rothbury Golf Course is a picturesque, 18-hole course that nestles in the heart of Northumberland's Coquet Valley and is within easy walking distance of the historic village of Rothbury. The course, adjoining Northumberland National Park, benefits from spectacular views of the Coquet Valley and the distant Cheviot Hills, and is bounded by the Simonside Hills, the village itself, the Cragside estate and the meandering River Coquet.

Visitors are always welcome and details of our individual green fees and golf society packages can be found in the Visitor section. As well as being awarded Junior Golfmark status, Rothbury Golf Club is an accredited HSBC Golf Roots centre and were proud to be named as 'Golf Roots Centre of the Year (NE region) 2013/14' in recognition of our work encouraging youngsters into golf.
Services
Opening holes can determine your round, so here you have a wide, inviting fairway for an encouraging start. A sensible shot for big hitters is a lay-up to the top of the hill (180 yds). If going for the green, a fade over the marker post will get you close. From the fairway, don't over-club your second down the hill to the flat green.
You can download a 2021 membership application form here, or they are available in the clubhouse if you would like to call in and see us. Whatever your age it is never too late to take it up. In the summer months we run 'Get into Golf' coaching courses designed to get you started. Please contact the clubhouse if you would like to put your name on a waiting list for the next course.
Whether organising society golf or just wishing to turn up and play, visitors to Rothbury Golf Club can be assured of a warm welcome at this friendly community club. Our Captains, the Directors of the club and all of its members are very proud of the course and clubhouse and hope that you enjoy your golf and our hospitality as much as we do.
Your golf party can be assured of a warm welcome at this friendly community club. Great course, fantastic views, staff can’t do enough for you. Good pint, best bacon sarny on the circuit. No food at the moment as the chef is poorly, but been really nice in the past. At a price anyone can afford, give them a bell, or get on the net.

Played here today as we are staying in the area. A very warm welcome on arrival by Brian. Talked us through the course before we set out. Conditions were a bit blustery but it didn't stop us.
The first time my wife had played a full 18 golf course.
Ideal for her as it was open and plenty of room for errant shots.
The course itself was in perfect condition for this time of year.
It was like we owned the course. Only a handful of people on the course, but we didn't see a single person.Back 9 is flatter than the front 9. Everything was perfect.
Stood and had a chat with Brian in the bar after

8 of use had a fantastic day playing golf. With the staff being so friendly and helpful. After our days golfing, we went in to town for some more refreshments. And just like the golf club, staff in the local pubs was friendly and welcoming too. What a lovely place to visit

Very sloped particularly the front 9 because land all runs down towards the river. Nevertheless, decent golf course for an away day.

Probably one of the drier courses we've played of late considering how much rain there has been . Pretty wide open so forgiving tee shots. Most on a slope.

I don't know about the golf course but the club house has amazing views and usually stocks a real ale. Nothing better than enjoying the sun on the veranda. Dogs are allowed on the veranda but not inside.
