City Of Newcastle Golf Club
In 1907, the club moved to Grange Farm at the Three Mile Bridge in Gosforth, which is where it is still today. The great Harry Vardon was engaged to design the course. In 1962 the course was changed however, much of Vardon's influence can still be seen today in the course which is rated one of the best in the North East and has staged many county events.

Our newly refurbished clubhouse will also have a private meeting or seminar room, which can also be used for private dining. Recent club development has seen impressive improvements to the course and locker rooms and with more planned in the near future the 'CITY' is the course to play.

The golf course is in excellent condition with a great deal of extra time and funding being used to improve the greens. The layout is second to none and with the additon of new course tee signage we hope you enjoy your visit to the City. Make sure you look out for the deer that roam the course freely.

We were only passing by and looking for a Coffee stop so popped in to ask if that was possible.
The warm welcome received was greatly appreciated as were the fantastic Bacon & Sausage Rolls Tea & Coffee’s.
Thank you to the staff for looking after us so well.

Great staff, fantastic views and a superb meal. The Sunday lunch was spot on. Generous portions, good quality meat and vegetables and great to have roasties in duck fat. The Yorkshire puddings (they normally… look good in other restaurants but disappoint on taste) were superb. Just like my Grandma used to make! Great value for money. We’ll definitely be back!
