Ravensworth Golf Club lies on the outskirts of Gateshead near the village of Eighton Banks. It was originally founded in 1906 as a nine hole course on land owned by Lord Ravensworth. In 1907 Lord Ravensworth was nominated to become our President. This he duly accepted and his successors held this honour for may years stepping aside for our current President Ron Gransbury in 2010.
