Ryton Golf Club, founded in 1891, is located in the picturesque and historic heart of the Tyne Valley approximately 10 miles from the heart of Newcastle. A superb eighteen hole layout, the course is bordered by the River Tyne. It provides a good test for Golfers of all ages and handicaps. Players should not be deceived by the comparatively short length of just over 6,000 yards, as accuracy is required with many tee shots and approaches to greens.
The course is complemented by a fine stone-built Clubhouse with Bar and Restaurant facilities and our excellent Function Room is available for hire. We have many different types of membership available to suit golfers of all needs, including the PlayMoreGolf points per round based system of membership.

Terrible place and terrible experience. Was told over the phone there was not a certain dress code, paid and was asked to leave on the first hole for wearing jeans. From a guy who was wearing jeans himself. Also the guy who teed off in front of us was wearing surfboard shorts but was allowed to carry on as normal. We still haven't been refunded and would stay well clear if looking to play for your first time. We politely asked if we could play on as we had paid to which the two idiots just said no because it would make his club members cry. (Get a proper job)

Played here in the summer at a charity event and liked it that much i joined. Course well maintained with excellent greens. Nice friendly staff in a recently refurbished clubhouse. Looking at yardages you would expect to always shoot a low round however, placement off the tee is essential on many holes to avoid a disaster.
