In 1907, the club moved to Grange Farm at the Three Mile Bridge in Gosforth, which is where it is still today. The great Harry Vardon was engaged to design the course. In 1962 the course was changed however, much of Vardon's influence can still be seen today in the course which is rated one of the best in the North East and has staged many county events

Established in 1927 this picturesque parkland course, measuring 6627 yards from the Members' tees, offers easy walking as well as a fair and memorable challenge to players of all abilities. Ponteland is undoubtedly one of jewels of the North East, open all year round, remaining open whilst other courses struggle with more severe weather conditions.

From the moment you step into the Clubhouse you will receive a warm and friendly welcome from both Members and Staff. Whickham Golf Club was founded in 1911 and moved to its present site at Hollinside Park in 1938. The Hollinside Park Course was extended to become a par 71 for men and a par 74 for ladies.
