Established in 1859, Deanshanger Primary School is situated in the south of Northamptonshire, just over the border from Milton Keynes. We are a 'community' school, funded by West Northamptonshire County Council to serve the villages of Deanshanger, Wicken, Puxley and Passenham, although pupils from further afield are sometimes admitted if we have places available.
Currently, we have 367 pupils on roll which allows two form entry from foundation stage to year 6. We are situated in a lovely position adjacent to the village green. The oldest part of the school dates from Victorian times, but over the years, extensive additional accommodation has been added. Whilst we look like a small village school from the front aspect, we actually extend back a long way and most visitors are surprised by our size.

Services
We want every child to be happy and successful and be well supported from the very first day they join us and throughout their school lives. Everything that we do at Deanshanger Primary School comes from this ethos and is embodied within these straightforward aims for every child. Develop a happy, caring and welcoming atmosphere in school in which everyone is respected and valued equally.
We are recruiting two midday supervisors to join our team. Our grateful thanks extend to Mrs Johnstone and Mrs Atkinson as they continue in other roles in the school, but leave the MMS team. Thank you for being great team players and very positive multitaskers!
The actual start time for the shifts is dependent on the year group you are assigned to but would be between 11.30am - 12.00pm for 90 minutes on a daily basis in term time only (i.e., 7.5 hours a week).

We are pleased to be able to offer high-quality before and after-school care through our Wrap Club. Caring and fun provision is available on a daily basis in our separate and well-resourced setting next to the school playground. Please see below for further information about booking and Conditions for Provision.
What if something gets lost? Please make sure all clothing is clearly marked with your child's name so that it can be returned if found. We collect lots of lost property items each term and struggle to return most of it. The lost property storage is outside the library, just along from the fish tank.
Everything that we do and plan for the children is with learning outcomes in mind, both academically and very importantly, socially and emotionally. We recognise that children, like adults, learn best when they feel happy, safe and supported and as a result, we need to consider this when we plan all activities.
