Sorry but we are not able to provide disabled facilities although we do have two ground floor rooms which each have a bath. We appreciate the requirements of families and know from experience that holidaying with youngsters can be stressful however we aim to make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible.
All prices are inclusive of full English breakfast, free car parking and the facility of being able to leave your car in the car park on the day of departure. Cancellations made more than seven days before the day of arrival will not incur any charge. Cancellations made within seven days but not less than 48 hours before day of arrival will incur the cost of the first nights booking.
Turn right out of the station and follow the road round until you get to the traffic lights junction at Micklegate/Blossom Street then turn rightand continue down Blossom Street until you come to the right turning down Holgate Road. Go down Holgate Road about 1/2 mile and you will see The Applehouse Guest House on your right hand side.

Just had a fab 2 night stay at The Apple House.
Friendly welcoming hosts on arrival, easy to find with adequate free parking.
Clean Warm comfortable room with comfy bed and cosy duvet, we both had an amazing night sleep.
Breakfast orders taken the night before served efficiently by lovely polite staff.
10 minute walk to the city centre.
We will be returning.

Absolutely, the best stay we have had in a long time. Rooms was spacious and very clean. Tea and coffee available in the rooms with fresh bedding and towels. Breakfast was a full English with a selection of cereals. Would definitely return. The owner was so welcoming. It is a 15 min walk away from York City Centre. Thank you for a lovely stay..x

Only stayed 1 night but good value for money. Lovely people. We checked in at 10am parked car in their private car park & hit York centre within 15 min walk. Rooms modern & comfortable with private bathroom & tea coffee making facilities. Cereals full cooked breakfast & toast orange juice & fresh fruit too. We were even allowed to leave the car in the car park until we got back from finishing off our york visit the following afternoon. Would definitely recommend

Lovely building. Large private car park a bonus as can leave the car and walk into York approx 15 min. Short walk through the back direct to train station even quicker. Lovely cooked breakfast with lots of variations and options. Plenty of tea, coffee and milk in room Plus a lovely touch of hot choc and Yorkie bar and a couple of bottles of water. Beautiful room, comfy bed and nice to have a full length mirror and a dressing table with mirror and stool for doing your make up. Very well thought out sizable room Lovely attentive staff will definitely visit again when we come back to York. Fully recommend

What a lovely stay. Beautifully clean. Room had everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious.
All so friendly & accommodating. Perfectly placed for walking into York. Free parking was very much appreciated we arrived early Fri not a problem we left late afternoon Sun still not a problem I will be recommending to all
