Just stayed here for 3 nights andrew the owner very freindly but disappointed with breakfast we thought we would have a full English breakfast but we had eggs and bacon and there was cereal yogurts and fruit toast there was no heating on at all in the dinning room and our bedroom was very cold bearing in mind this is February decorated lovely throughout not far to town centre needs a few pictures and things fairly basic won't b going again

Good, fairly central base for our visit. Room comfortable, if not huge. Breakfast was fine as long as you wanted boiled or poached egg. "We don't do fried" Never heard of this in my life. Did not spoil the stay, but, lost a star because of it!

Lovely Guesthouse which isn’t too far of a walk from the station if you take the cycle path across the river.
Everything was satisfactory with the room and very good quality for the price we paid! Lovely breakfast with lots of options, very good that it’s included with the room.
Would love to stay again next time I’m in York!

There aren't enough stars to give Bootham Guest House. It's a nice walk to town and to the train. Andrew was amazing in all aspects of the word. If we're ever in York again, we would definitely stay again. Highly HIGHLY suggest.

Stayed 2 nights, friendly owner and staff, brilliant breakfast and the room was excellent. Only a 10 minute walk into the walled city. Would definitely stay again.

Perfectly awesome.

Room was excellent, proprietor was very friendly and helpful. If we were coming back we'd definitely book here again. 10 minutes walk away from the city gate. Highly recommend this guesthouse.

A 20 minute walk from the station but definitely worth it. The rooms are decently sized, clean and with all desired amenities. Andrew the owner is friendly and the breakfast included in the price is the best example of an English breakfast there is. Also the comforts bed of my stay so far.
