Emergencies will always take priority over any non-emergency call and we always have vets available in order to respond quickly without too much disruption to existing calls. A standard visit fee is applied to emergency visits during normal office hours. During normal office hours an equine receptionist is always available to help you and arrange for a veterinary surgeon to visit.
You can bring your horse to one of our clinics at a set time to see a particular vet for any form of treatment from vaccination and teeth rasping to pre-purchase examinations or castration. Please contact your local branch to arrange. Please remember to bring your horse's bridle with you when bringing your horse to the clinic.
Our experienced team of equine vets regularly perform pre-purchase examinations throughout the South-East. As we all know, the purchase of any horse involves a degree of risk both with regard to the horse's performance and health status. The veterinary examination is a thorough examination of the chosen horse to identify and assess those factors of a veterinary nature that may affect the horse's suitability for its intended use.

Positive: Professionalism
I was most impressed with Sarah the Vet who came out to do bloods, vaccination and health check on both my chaps. I felt that she really listened to my concerns and took the time to discuss them. She handled my sensitive soul of a warmblood very calmly and quietly to a point where he was nodding off whilst we talked!

Superb service! The receptionist I spoke to (I'm sorry I can't remember her name!) Was just amazing so calm and kind and had me booked in for the same morning( my horse was having some form of very bad allergic reaction) I was called long before the appointment to be told the vet was going to be early which was amazing as he was swelling up all over very quickly!
The vet.. I beleive her name was pia?( sorry if the spelling is wrong) was super quick and efficient, checked him over all the while being really sweet with him and talking to him. Gave me lots of information on a time frame of the medicine

I called Milbourn Vets with a mare with very difficult foaling at 1am, got an almost instant reply, the vet rang me to say she was on her way. The whole dreadful experience was conducted in a professional and kind manner to both the mare and myself. I can not praise them highly enough.

The vet that come out to my horse in an emergency was very professional and compassionate. However the staff member on the phone when I called up for her blood results was very rude, cold and uncompassinate. She only seemed to care about when she would be getting the money and no respect for what we had gone through with our poorly horse.
This is not the first time that this has occurred.
Very disappointing when the vet that come out was lovely.
