Our main, purpose-built hospital on Barrow Hill, is Ashford's premier hospital standard practice, inspected by the RCVS and awarded its highest classification for a veterinary practice. At the Barrow Hill group of veterinary practices, we have a dedicated team of vets and nurses available to provide compassionate care for your pets.
Our staff are caring and friendly and treat your pets as they would treat their own. The wonderful thank you letters we regularly receive are testament to our dedicated staff. We will price match vaccinations; we know that times are hard and if you find a vaccine cheaper than ours within a ten mile radius we will match that price.
Our large reception area is divided into 2 main spaces so that it is possible for dogs and cats to sit separately in the waiting areas. We have a friendly team of receptionists available to help with booking appointments for consultations and operations. All of our consultation rooms are air conditioned.
We would like an enthusiastic vet to join our dynamic team. An interest in medicine or cardiology with a minimum of a year's UK experience would be ideal. Hospital based 3 branch practice in the garden of England can offer an attractive package to the right applicant. We can offer a great location with easy access to London, Gatwick and Europe, surrounded by stunning countryside.
After 8pm weekdays and 6pm Weekends our out of hours provider is Vets Now located inside Cinque Ports Vets. If your pet is hospitalised at our Ashford Hospital please ring 01233 624687 which will give you the out of hours numbers for emergencies and inpatients. Except in exceptional circumstances this is not possible.

Mnnn Not too impressed. Took my pooch to have a minor skin issue diagnosed. I guessed it was a mite or allergy. Saw a condescending young vet who said "its a sneaky parasite or an allergy". Ureka I could have told her that. She recommended specialist shampoo . Surgery didnt have any. Then looked in her ears and sold me some earwash. This earwash proved to have the same active ingredient as corsydl mouthwash (confirmed by my son who is a doctor in Sweden). Except this hadn't cost me about £5 . They charge me £20 pound for it!!! Rang them and wanted to return the (unopened) thing. They refused

We took our dog ace to this amazing and caring compssionate vet on Saturday, he gave us the best advice, we took him home till this morning which we had arranged, sadly we had to have ace put to sleep, these… lovely vets were so kind and caring, we can't thank them enough, it made us feel more comfortable with our decision, definitely will be using this vets for years to come. Our family pet Zeus a German shepherd passed away 2 weeks ago, unfortunately to pancreatitis disease. That the vet within Barrow hill in Hythe did not pick upon, even after blood tests. They gave us antibiotics… for a mouth infection instead! We ended up taking him to a trusted Vets in Minster, who are not just out for money, who actually care about the pet and their owners.
Unfortunately he was diagnosed too late, and the treatment did not work. Resulting in our dog needing to be put down at home, as he rapidly declined, showing all of the signs of death. Due to our dog being registered

Today I had to take my dog to the vets I was quite nervous about it as she's not the easiest dog to get near to at the best of times as she's quite nervous & tends to bark at people which normally makes people back off or run the other way but she was so good the lovely ladies at Barrow Hill was so kind & relaxed I'm sure it helped my dog to relax I can't thank you all enough & I Just hope she's as relaxed tomorrow when we come back for the rest of treatment . Yesterday we had to say goodbye to the dumbest but loveliest dog in the world. It was completely out of the blue and the staff at Barrow Hill were wonderful. They took what could have been a traumatic experience and enabled us to make our last minutes with our beloved boy something to treasure instead. Thank you for your kindness, warmth and for helping our wonderful Marley end his journey with dignity and surrounded by love. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this wonderful team.
