We are a small animal practice in Hastings, first established in 1964. We are passionate about animal care and our skilled team of veterinarians and vet nurses are dedicated to providing the highest quality care for your animals. Because we love animals and strive to provide excellent continuity of care, we are open six days a week and have access to 24-hour emergency care.

To help keep us all safe, please do not attend the practice unless you have a pre-booked appointment, or have arranged to collect food/medication.
Services
Our veterinary practice has established itself since 1964 amongst the local community and now provides care to thousands of pets every year. We know that your pet is a member of your family, which is why everyone at the practice works hard to provide the very best veterinary care services for you and loved ones.
Here at Coopers Vets, we're very proud to have so many enthusiastic and dedicated individuals working in our friendly practice. We are all passionate about animals and their well-being, from our veterinary surgeons and qualified nurses to our essential support staff. Highly trained and caring, each of us has a role to play in making this a special practice for you to visit with your pet.
Our team of highly dedicated and experienced veterinary surgeons and vet nurses are devoted to your pet's wellbeing. Your pets are always our priority. We all have our own pets and work hard to provide the same service to you that we would want for our own much-loved animals. At our surgery we provide continuity of care, working with you to provide effective and high quality treatment.
Many of our patients are receiving long term treatment and are eligible for 'repeat prescriptions'. Usually, we see these patients every six months, although for some conditions and often at the start of a new treatment, this may be more frequently. If your pet is due more of their usual medication, please contact us no less than 48-hours before you would like to collect this.
In the event of an emergency during our normal opening hours please call our surgery on 01424 751595 and you will be advised what to do next. If your call is during the night or at the weekend whilst our clinic is closed, please contact our practice and follow the answerphone instructions. If you have any difficulty in phoning the practice, please call Sussex Coast Vets' emergency night clinic on 01424 224818.

After being a customer for 12 years with 2 dogs registered i asked for 1 flea treatment and was first told my dog hadnt seen a vet since 2016 - i corrected her and said we had had an appt with lyndsey in 2020 the jumped up vetinary nurse on the reception then went on to say i couldnt have a flea treatment because i needed a prescription and to get that i needed a consultation - £42...what sort of ludicracy is this...is it a comedy?
They stupid vet nurse behind the reception asked me to put on a mask even though i told her i was exempt and she herself had hers round her chin ...i will be going

I was seen the same day to have my very ill, elderly cat put down. It was heartbreaking but everything was explained and I was left to spend time with her alone before it was done which I will always be grateful for.She was treated with tenderness and kindness, for which I am very grateful.

The vet we saw today was absolutely lovely. He took time to really chat to me about my lil dog and gave some good advice. He had a really caring and calming manner on my very nervous boy.

Always very friendly and helpful staff and even during these uncertain terms do there best to help you. Sadly my beautiful 19 year old cat needed to be put to sleep today, I was allowed to go to a private outside area to say good bye to her, much better than being in a clinical room. Kinga the vet is lovely.
