Excellent meal - Goat Cheese Curd Mousse followed by Loin of Venison. Lovely piece of meat with red wine and treacle sauce. Not as sweet as it sounds- rich and full of flavour. The restaurant was fully booked, but they managed to squeeze our party of 4 in. Staff very friendly and personable. Recommend if in the region doubt you will find better.

I booked the Rowan Tree for an evening meal with friends, the first time I've been back in the last 2 years. The menu is really good for all, not the cheapest meal you will have in the Strath but definitely the best. I had the veggie option which was really special not the sometimes afterthought on the menu. I will definitely make a point of returning and have already recommended a visit to friends.

We came for dinner. It is one of the nicer restaurants in the area. Very strong covid safety measures in place. The wild mushroom appetizer was tasty but cream forward. The smoked trout appetizer was delightful. We ate the specials- the fish was expertly done and the citrus couscous paired to perfection; the pot roast lamb was good, really nicely presented, and oh my, the Pomme Anne potatoes were a dream. The dessert was flavorful, tho as the critics in The Great British Baking Show say, I was looking for a bit more volume in my sponge (cake). A good place to stop in or likely stay, near some wonderful

Excellent stay, the rooms were spotless! The staff very helpful and very knowledgeable about the area and the best walking routes around us. They made us a delicious chickpea curry out from the menu as we didn't like any of the vegetarian options, all pre order. Will definitely come back.

We were so impressed by the cheerful can do attitude of the staff here, nothing was too difficult.
My sister in law had one of the best gluten free fish and chips she has eaten, the batter apparently delicious! I had a chicken dish and my husband a burger all delicious! The gluten free onion rings were great! We will definitely return when next in the area.

Our tour group made a stop at the restaurant for lunch during our Scotland trip. We had some delicious scotch broth and scones. Service was so prompt and the food was delicious. It's a cozy restaurant with friendly staff. Afterwards, some of us were treated to a scone making demo and were given the recipe for their delicious scones. Some others in the group sat outside in the patio to relax while others went for a short walk in the field next to the restaurant. The restaurant is in a great location and definitely worth a stop. Would love to visit again some day.

Stayed here for 2 nights just after New Years and had an amazing stay. The dinner here is just wonderful and the young blond lady was absolutely amazing both nights. She was super friendly and attentive and we had a good laugh with her.

The food here lovely. Both the included breakfast and the pay for dinner in the evening. There is a formal dining area, but if you are a guest at the hotel you can take your food at one of the small tables near the bar and you can also take your drinks to the fireplace in the living room. We had a wonderful time having a few drinks and playing a number of the board

Stayed here for 2 nights in June and really enjoyed the food. The bar has an excellent whisky arsenal as well as a couple of local ales. The dinner service was very impressive. The seating format is a little different: you make a reservation and are seated in a lounge area where you place your order. You wait and enjoy a drink until your food is ready, at which point you're seated in the dining room.

The presentation of dishes was a cut above my expectations. Each dish was layered and sauced impeccably. I particularly liked the duck breast.
