Services
Every member of our staff is dedicated to providing the best possible care for your pets and the best possible service for you. We are a companion animal practice treating cats, dogs, rabbits, small furries and exotic pets. We offer 15 minute appointment slots to allow ample time to discuss your concerns about your pet.
Forest Veterinary Clinic provides a wide range of diagnostic, surgical and medical services, including, x-ray, ultrasound, rhinoscopy, arthroscopy, accupuncture and nurse clinics. We have extensive laboratory facilities and dental equipment at both practices, and all our staff are able to offer advice on preventative care for dogs, cats and other domestic pets.
The PETS Travel Scheme offers the chance to take your pet abroad without having to undergo long quarantine periods. The Scheme is designed to stop the spread of rabies and other diseases while still allowing pets to travel.
When travelling with you pet you should be aware that Continental Europe has diseases the UK does not (yet) have; Babesiosis and ehrlichiosis are spread by ticks, heartworm is spread by mosquitos and leishmaniasis is spread by sand flies. These are all potentially fatal to your pet, and leishmaniasis can also affect people.

Veterinary Surgeons Roger Stobbs, John Adams, Louise Nixon, Alice McLeish and Heidi Wyatt are supported by a team of Veterinary Nurses and Receptionists. Our clinical staff have recognised qualifications and regularly attend continuing professional development courses. We keep abreast with the latest professional literature, treatments and techniques.
Pet Care Plans (PCPs) allow you to spread the annual cost of your pet's routine vaccinations, health checks, worming and flea/tick treatments throughout the year. And a yearly urine examination (at the time of vaccination or six monthly health check) which may assist early diagnosis of conditions such as diabetes and renal failure, and a 10% discount on all our other services and products, including surgery, medications, lab tests, food, etc.

My son took his cat , aged 14, to Forest vets on the 21st June to be euthanised.
He naturally wanted to be with her as she was euthanised but was told he would have to pay another £20 on top of the £60 fee to eithanise her, for hygiene purposes ie, giving him and his sister a mask each!!!! That is totally greedy and heartless!!

Twice through lockdown I've had to visit here with someone else and I've experienced such impersonal care and respect for animal owners. I know there's been a pandemic but customers are dealt with in a car park where every passerby can see and hear and if the worse has been confirmed the owners are left crying in the carpark for all to see its heartbreaking to witness.. covid or not show some respect and at least have the decency to take take everyone out of public view and earshot.. surely it would be less stressful situation for all concerned including the animal. I found the vet on this occasion

Had to take one of my pets to the vets in an emergency last week. Having telephoned for advice I was asked to take him straight down to the clinic Roger and the orher vets are excellent and compassionate and caring together with all their support staff. I always feel very welcome and at ease whenever I visit and explain and advise in the best interests of my pets. I wouldn't take any of my animals anywhere else. As always an excellent service
