Peter Marson Optometrist has been providing high quality, bespoke eye services in Hove and Southwick for 20 years. It was founded by Peter Marson MCOptom in 1996 and the Hove branch is the longest standing independent optometrist in Brighton and Hove. Peter Marson Optometrist provides a full range of NHS and private eye testing and dispensing optician services, alongside some specialist services.
Peter Marson is the founder of the charity SeeKenya which works to reduce blindness and provide specialist eye care services to the poorest communities in Kenya. Over three million people in Kenya are classified as blind, simply because they do not have access to prescription glasses. There are also around 10,000 children who are blind - many of whom could have been treated with simple, preventative eye drops which cost pennies to buy.

Not good...will be going elsewhere. 6 months ago I had check up because of pain in my eyes, was told pressure in the eyes and to go back in 6 months time to check on the pressure. I was also told that my results would be sent to my GP. 6 months later I go back for the check up and the eye pressure has increased, was told that the findings would be emailed to my GP. Yesterday I found out that NO RESULTS WERE SENT TO MY GP....I phoned Peter marson receptionist yesterday and told him all of the above....to be told that he will call me back in the afternoon with answers....NO HE DIDNT CALL BACK ..

I am so grateful to the service Peter Marson and his team have given me with my first ever pair of varifocals. I am not joking, I can see EVERYTHING now and he gave me the very best lenses that exist. I am lost for words to express the gratitude that I can now see so clearly. This goes far beyond glasses. Peter and all the staff here were very helpful and professional. I only needed a bit of assistance with some sunglasses that needed altering, but they treated my issue with great care and attention and I felt confident in Peter's expertise. I will certainly be using them again in the future for sourcing my glasses.

I'm so happy with my new glasses and find the service better than ever. The frames and lenses were really affordable and they rang my other opticians and got my prescription without me having to do it. I think this is a yester-century style of good old fashioned service and excellent customer service which I now find rare and wonderful to see here. I highly recommend Peter Marson! Thank you for excellent service.

Last July (2016), my mother who is now 93, went for an eye test to Peter Marson Optometrist. Apart from leaving with two pairs of glasses she couldn't see out of, it was confirmed that she had cataracts and would benefit from surgery to have them treated. We were told that a referral would be sent and we would hear from the eye hospital.
Forward to October....nothing from the hospital. I approached Peter Marson then and was told that after investigating, they could confirm that the private company they used to process each referral hadn't received the fax, so nothing had been done in three months

I went in for an eye test last week, and have to say I was so impressed with the service I received.
I was greeted upon my arrival by Nick, who was so kind, friendly and welcoming. I was then taken through for my test by Peter, who was so clear and knowlegable throughout, he really put me at ease.
The aftercare I received from both Nick and Peter was superb, they both helped me choose my glasses, and they arrived when I was promised they would.
I would definitely recommend this opticians to anyone.
