Sayyida Nassimizadeh is a Senior Optometrist at Eye Opticians. She has been in the optical industry for almost a decade, graduating from City University, London and completing her clinical training at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London. In particular, Sayyida enjoys Paediatric Optometry, and whilst progressing into community care, Sayyida maintains close ties to hospital-based Paediatric clinics.

Visual stress is also known as visual dyslexia, Mears-Irlen syndrome and scotopic sensitivity syndrome. Many children and adults suffer from visual discomfort when reading. This can affect reading fluency, concentration and comprehension and can cause rapid fatigue. Visual stress can cause symptoms such as movement of print, rivers running through the print and headaches and eyestrain.

Great service and top quality!
First pair of progressive lenses needed for mostly reading and PC use so Shafik recommended Hoya iD Workstyle. Very pleased with them as easy to walk around the office. Able to view a wide reading area and across a large room. Getting plenty of positive remarks on the ic!Berlin frames too.

In March, at the first sight test done to my son, 10 years old, we discovered that he has myopia, -2 and -2.25. At the optician's recommendation regarding the lenses specially designed to stop the progression, Hoya miyosmart, I hesitated at first because I did not know the difference between the lenses offered free of charge by the NHS and these. I ordered NHS lenses and in the meantime I started doing my own research on these Hoya lenses. A few days later, my husband and I decided that we would not do experiments on the child's eyes to wait and see if myopia would increase in the comming months

BEST EYE TEST I'VE EVER HAD!
I had been suffering from extremely sensitive and irritated eyes, not to mention headaches. Having spoken to other opticians and also my GP a number of times and seeing little to no improvement I began to feel quite helpless.
I am so glad I was recommended Eye Opticians, I had a thorough eye examination, nothing like I've had before. The optician made me feel very comfortable, was friendly and explained everything in detail. I really do believe Eye Opticians went above and beyond in giving me a detailed diagnostic.

I had been struggling with headaches and reading in general for a number of years as a student; coloured paper and overlays helped but never completely resolved my discomfort. A member of faculty recommended that I get my eyes tested and go for a visual stress test so I booked an appointment at Eye Opticians. Shafik and his team promptly found that my visual stress could be greatly reduced through prescription colour tinted lenses. This is the best opticians I have been too. Very professional, friendly and very easy to talk too. They made me understand on what tests they were doing. It did not feel like they were rushing me out of the door. Definitely better customer service provided by specsavers. It is more expensive but DEFINITELY worth the money.
