Onkar Eye Society Opticians
Diabetic retinopathy is one of the most common causes of sight loss among people of working age. It is essential for everyone with diabetes, who are 12 years of age and above, to be invited to have their eyes screened once a year. Remember; we offer Diabetic Screening at all our practices, so book an appointment with us now!

Remember, if your child is under 16, or if they are aged 16, 17 or 18, and in full time education, they are eligible to have an NHS-funded eye examination. Your child can never be too young to have their eyes checked!

The best optician I know. Very knowledgeable and up to date. I tried other opticians they got my prescription wrong where as Bansal Opticians got it to the dot. The staff are very pleasant and helpful and I always get excellent service. Thank you.

I used to come to this optitons as it was the nearest to home. They used to charge a bomb for my mums glasses and even for a eye check. Since we’ve found specsavers I can’t even begin to tell everyone especially the Asians that it’s the best place to go for an eye check as it’s free and the glasses are not expensive at all. I remember my mum nearly paid £200 plus pounds for her glasses at this place and when we went to specsavers we spent £50 pounds on 2 pair of glasses as it was buy one get one free and the eye test was free. Don’t go to these Asian place a to get your glasses

From my most recent visit at the opticians, I am 100% certain that I will not be visiting again. As I was required to pay for my glasses anyway, and the fact that I didn't like the quality of Bansal Opticians' frames, I had decided to buy glasses from elsewhere. When the doctor realised this, he spoke to me in a rude manner during my eye test as well as after wards in front of my mother. I would not recommend going here as it seems that the surgery is only concerned with making money rather than customer satisfaction.
