Hawkspring
Hawkspring is a community rooted organisation based in Hartcliffe, South Bristol, an area that is within the worst 1% of deprivation in England and Wales. Despite the current restrictions we are still taking referrals and supporting clients, but all services are now being offered by video or phone call.

The referral form for all services is found on the "Tools and Resources" page of this website. Please see the details below for information on our adapted support services. Video support sessions are our preferred method, as they best replicate face to face sessions. Telephone support sessions are available for people without access to technology or people who are not comfortable using it.
Services
We understand how important family relationships are in the recovery process and we also know how addiction affects everyone in the family. This is why our holistic approach works. The families we support are often leading chaotic lives. They also face complex issues outside of the addiction in their home and community.
It's brilliant, can't believe how much has changed. I've been sober now for 11 months because of the support and encouragement I got at Hawkspring. We look to increase individuals' self-confidence, social integration and wellbeing. A number of our Support Workers have come through the recovery journey and are able to bring their own knowledge and experience to the benefit of clients.
In addition to caring for a loved one with addiction, they are living with a range of other challenges which can include financial difficulties, poverty, domestic violence. Carers and other family members are often traumatised, isolated and living in fear. They frequently feel unable to confide in their friends and wider family, struggling to cope by themselves.
Our young clients are living with the impact of parental / familial substance misuse at home and within the community around them. 50% of the children we support are 8 years old and younger, 50% are aged 9-13 years old. Children affected by substance misuse can become isolated, vulnerable and at risk of neglect or abuse.
By making a donation to Hawkspring you will be supporting our vital services and making a real difference to the lives of the children, families and individuals we work with. If you would like your donation to go to a specific fund please contact us at info@hawkspring.org.uk with details of your donation and which fund you are donating to.
