Being in therapy is a bit like doing a very big jigsaw puzzle. The pieces are yours, but although you do not have a clear idea of the picture that the puzzle makes, I believe that you know what it is or what you want it to be. You certainly know more about this than I do. What I know is how jigsaw puzzles sometimes fit together and where the pieces are likely to connect.
Everyone gets angry occasionally but when anger becomes overwhelming it can become problematic. If you are struggling to cope with your levels of anger then finding ways to address it can be achieved through counselling. Feeling anxious is perfectly normal but when anxiety takes over it can cause difficulties.
If you feel you would like to have counselling with me then we can arrange for an initial session together. The first session is usually a relatively informal session that is about getting to know each other and beginning to explore the issues and concerns that have brought you to therapy. It is also an opportunity to find out more about counselling in general, what it involves and what you can expect from the process.
You can reach me by public transport or by car and both areas have available on-street parking. You can contact me by phone for an informal chat on 07949 592 314. If I am unavailable please leave a message and I will aim to get back to you as soon as possible or within the next 48 hours. Alternatively you can email me at counselling@steveharland.co.uk or use the contact form.

My life has been so improved thanks to my sessions with Steve. I can't recommend him highly enough. He makes it incredibly easy to sit and talk through things, to give you the space and support to explore your situation in the way that you want to. The change I've noticed in myself is incredible and I have Steve to thank for helping me get there.
