Services
The Green House has been providing therapy for people affected by sexual abuse for over 30 years. Founded in the 1970's, we were formerly known as Avon Sexual Abuse Centre. As we began to support increasing numbers of children and young people we decided it was important to have a more accessible name and in 2010 we formally became The Green House.
She is an experienced and values-driven senior leader who most recently led the Transformation and Improvement Directorate at Avon and Somerset Police. Before this she, held a number of leadership roles in the NHS, charity sector, international development and academia delivering people-centred strategy, policy and complex change.
One of our core values is a commitment to quality and excellence in all that we do. We intentionally invest in highly skilled staff, systems of good governance and sound financial management. The Green House is an organisational member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
We are always looking for ways that we can contribute the learning from our frontline services to wider policy and practice nationally. Here is a summary of our recent and ongoing research projects. This research is led by the University of Bristol in partnership with SafeLives and the Sexual Violence Consortium in Bristol.
We do not have vacancies in any of our teams but please check our website and social media for future updates. Due to the nature of our work we only employ qualified counsellors and do not take student placements or volunteer therapists. Many thanks to @QuartetCF for the 10,000 Resilience Programme Grant - we are so grateful for your ongoing support.
