We aim to provide a quiet environment which is as stress free as possible for cats when they come in for consultation or if they require hospitalisation. Our website provides information about our clinic and the services we offer as well as advice on cat adoption and cat care. We also provide information on how to deal with lost and found cats as well as links to other websites that you may find useful.
Services
Shortly after opening, we were one of only 8 practices nationwide to receive a Gold Award at the Feline Advisory Bureau (now International Cat Care) Cat Friendly Practice Awards ceremony. There is plenty of free, on-street parking close to the clinic but please note that limits on the maximum length of stay may apply.
Here at Just Cats we have a small, friendly team of staff dedicated to the care of your feline friends. My work with animals began in 1985 when I took a job as a kennel maid with the RSPCA in Birkdale. In 1998 I moved to a veterinary practice in Southport to train as a veterinary nurse and gained my qualification in 1990.
Cat ownership can be a very rewarding experience for both the cat and the owner. Creating the right environment for your cat to live in and taking the necessary steps to keep your cat healthy and safe helps to make cat ownership the best possible experience for both the cat and its owner. Here at Just Cats, we have endeavoured to summarise some of the most useful information on cat ownership for you.

Great place to bring your cat/s and they treat there customers very well not there staff, not a great place to work. management is not great, you get thrown all over asked to do a million things at once, you cant ever get a break, very hard on there staff, non caring, short break, very unorganized and not clean, lots of drama and will get bullied by staff especially if your a new hire. they will protect and choose the bully over you. there's only very few staff who are really nice and caring/ Appreciative.

Karen at Just Cats worked to find us a spot, and got us in the next day— Dr Peterson was wonderful— very patient and soothing. All of the staff were friendly and seemed so caring. They made it feel like a celebration that this little Kitty was now going to live in a home.I couldn’t give them a higher recommendation!

This was my first experience at a cat-only vet—and it was amazing! Dr. Mensching was extremely thorough and articulate when examining my cat, and went out of her way to explain the causation of any issue I might have seen with my cat. The kindness displayed by her and the wonderful vet tech to make my cat as comfortable as possible during her visit were also much appreciated! Just Cats also provides a patient report card at the end of visits, which I found to be extremely helpful! If in need of a reasonably priced vet with amazing knowledge and compassion—look no further!

What a relief, finally a vet practice that knows cats. I feel like every other vet I’ve ever been to has been more knowledgeable about dogs than felines. Just Cats worked wonders with my fearful rescue baby and even prescribed me a sedative to help bring her there (it was a bit of a distance, but worth it). They were thorough and knew how to handle a squirming, scared kitty. Pricing was good for the quality of care. They weren’t pushy about doing extra procedures, although the option was presented. Very grateful that my cat is on the path to healing. Thank you!

My brothers cat was very sick on the 24th of December. I called just Cats vet and they did not hesitate at all to get us in even tho we had never been there. They examined the cat, run some tests, give some medications they treated us as if we had been a customer of theirs for years and I would recommend them to anyone who has a cat they're kind they're considerate they're understanding....

I have just moved up to the area and was looking for a new veterinary group to bring my 12 year old Siamese cat to.
They were very professional and did a thorough exam of Bella while making her feel very comfortable.

Just Cats and more specifically Dr. Bouchard was wonderful. Our cat was terrified as it was her first visit to a vet. They catered to her every need and quickly calmed her down with a towel technique. They were extremely knowledgeable, personable, flexible, and efficient.
