Barton-le-Clay Pre-school has been together for over 30 years. The format has changed over time but we are a longstanding feature within our village, taking children from two years old. Barton-le-Clay Pre-School was originally run from Barton Village Hall by a team of Volunteers and in 2010 it moved into the purpose built 'Our Space' building in the grounds of Ramsey Manor Lower School.
It's a lovely place full of engaged children and passionate educators. Of the 15 current members of staff, 9 have had children attend the Pre-School. In fact one of the team attended Pre-School as a child years ago! Giving your child a good Pre-School experience is very important to us. For many children, Pre-School is their first experience in a structured setting socialising with large groups of children.

Services
Barton-le-Clay Pre-School is a charity, we are run by a voluntary management committee who employ trained, experienced and caring staff to provide a safe, happy and exciting learning environment for children in our care. We have been together for over 30 years and our aim is to enhance the development and educational progress of each child, working with families within a community based setting preparing your child for School.
Charlie loves reading stories to the children putting on the funny voices of the characters both to her own children and our children in pre-school. Alison was a parent helper before she applied for the position of Pre-School Assistant in 2005. Since joining the team Alison has taken on various positions and is now our Forest School leader.
Here at Barton-le-Clay Pre-School we run a waiting list admission process as per our Admissions Policy. Our annual admissions are attended to prior to the start of each academic year as well as throughout the year as required. We take children from two years of age to school age. To add your child onto our waiting list please contact our Administrator on 01582 883238 or email bartonpreschool@aol.com.
We hope this small selection of slides from Class Dojo will help explain its purpose in Pre-School. It is a great tool to help create a culture of positive praise and increase childrens self confidence as well as providing a lovely communication platform for families with us at pre-school. Our school website, mobile app and podcasts are created using School Jotter, a Webanywhere product.
The management committee meet once a term to discuss a wide variety of matters concerning the pre-school. There are some items that remain a constant on the agenda such as Safeguarding, Health and Safety, Finances etc and then there are the Fundraising elements that we are often changing and adapting to meet the needs of the children.
