Focused Mind Hypnotherapy
As life in general becomes more stressful and our opportunities for de-stressing seem to be diminishing, more and more people are suffering from stress-related disorders: anxiety, depression IBS and sleep problems to name just a few. It is extremely difficult to find the solution when our minds are so stressed we can barely function throughout a normal day.

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy will help to relieve that stress by changing the way you think about your life and helping you to focus on the positive aspects, enjoying each and everyday! Hypnotherapy is an extremely effective way of getting you back into a calm and relaxed state where your mind is able to see things clearly again and able to make small changes towards a more fulfilling life.

In 2011 I went on to train at the prestigious Clifton Practice as a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist where I was awarded the DHP (Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy) and the HPD (Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma). I also completed an 8 week MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) course with Bangor University and use elements of this in my practice.
Waking relaxed, calm and energised helps us to enjoy each day which in turn increases our self-confidence and motivates us to do the things we want to do. Some stress is necessary and fundamental to our survival.

In reasonable levels this can be harnessed to improve performance, heighten senses, increase energy and get things done but when stress gets out of hand we lose intellectual control and begin to display symptoms of anxiety, depression and/or anger.Our mental and physical health is affected and we loose our ability to enjoy life.
Depression is perhaps the most common psychological disorder today; it affects our relationships, our sleep, our physical health, career and the ability to get things done. People go through life thinking that it is just a part of them that cannot change. Waking each day, feeling happy, energised and positive is normal after a good night's sleep and all the natural chemicals, hormones and impulses in your brain are functioning at their best.
The origin of a phobia is usually associated with the emotions caused by a traumatic event from early life or in a state of high stress. This produces a panic response in the subconscious (fight/flight/freeze response) which we then associate with a place, object or situation. One of the roles of the subconscious mind is to programme us to try to avoid situations which put us in danger.
We all need confidence and motivation to succeed in our careers and relationships; in fact, it affects every aspect of our lives. However sometimes we have forgotten just how naturally confident we can be, as life's experiences can sometimes knock our confidence and self-worth.
