We are a group of small animal practices in Chesterfield and Nottinghamshire, first established in 1986. We are passionate about animal care and our skilled team of veterinarians and vet nurses are dedicated to providing the highest quality care for your animals. Because we love animals and strive to provide excellent continuity of care, we are open six days a week and have access to 24-hour emergency care.

New address Carrick Veterinary Group Unit 6, Old Mill Lane Industrial Estate Old Mill Lane Mansfield. To help keep us all safe, please do not attend the practice unless you have a pre-booked appointment, or have arranged to collect food/medication.

Carrick Veterinary Group opened in 1986 and has been welcoming pets in the area ever since. We have been providing expert veterinary care for many decades and currently treat over 3,000 pets per year. Carrick Veterinary Group was acquired by CVS (UK) Limited in 2007 and now operates as part of this larger group of veterinary practices and veterinary service providers.
Here at Carrick Veterinary Group, we're very proud to have so many enthusiastic and dedicated individuals working in our friendly practice. We are all passionate about animals and their well-being, from our veterinary surgeons and qualified nurses to our essential support staff. Highly trained and caring, each of us has a role to play in making this a special practice for you to visit with your pet.
Our team of highly dedicated and experienced veterinary surgeons and vet nurses are devoted to your pet's wellbeing. Your pets are always our priority. We all have our own pets and work hard to provide the same service to you that we would want for our own much-loved animals. At our surgeries we provide continuity of care, working with you to provide effective and high quality treatment.
Many of our patients are receiving long term treatment and are eligible for 'repeat prescriptions'. Usually, we see these patients every six months, although for some conditions and often at the start of a new treatment, this may be more frequently. If your pet is due more of their usual medication, please contact us no less than 48-hours before you would like to collect this.
In the event of an emergency during our normal opening hours please call your usual surgery and you will be advised what to do next. If your call is during the night or at the weekend whilst our clinic is closed, please ring 01246 273292 (Chesterfield, Clowne and Matlock clients) and 01159 430898 (Mansfield and Sutton-in-Ashfield clients) and you will be directed straight to MiNightVet Rotherham or MiNightVet Nottingham.

A first class vets, with a family like atmosphere, hence im in the process of registering all five of my extremely rare Thai Ridgeback Dogs, and im very fussy about which vets get the honour of having them on their books, im the only person in the uk, if not Europe, who owns five Black Thai Ridgebacks!! Been at this vets for over 8 years, always do a professional job when ever we need to take our dog in for check ups etc.

Disgusted with this practice. I foster rescue dogs and the rescue pays for treatments ect. They wanted payment up front...then when nthey got paid they didnt have an appointment for 4 days....needed some ear drops and yet again had to pay up front...still waiting for a phone call to say there ready a WEEK later...so rang an they have had um.bit not called. Also never seen prices like them . Park hall all the way from ow on for me and the whole rescue we use

Absolutely disgusted at the treatment of my parents today (pensioners) and their dog Lily. Lily hates the car and the vets is a good 30 minutes away.
Charged for a consultation on Monday as Lily in pain and not eating/drinking - diagnosis a cut gum/infected tooth. Operation booked for today, no pain meds given just told give her soft food and water. She can't eat!
Turned up today today to be told not booked in it’s for 8th August.... no it isn’t it’s today as per the highlighted appointment on the pre- op instructions we were give and that’s why no painkillers were given Monday. Charged

Friendly, caring staff. Looked after my dog so well here and at the chesterfield branch after he needed lots of investigation work. This branch isn’t as nice as their main branch in chesterfield which is visually stunning but the vets here are wonderful and willing to listen to every worry or concern you have. Prices are slightly higher than other practices but you get what you pay for and that is love and care for your pet, cannot recommend them enough!!

Absolutely fantastic!! I rang up due to my dog having a fit and motionless no questions asked, the lady on receiption automatically told me to bring him in and paperwork would be done later. On arrival two seconds of saying my name we were in with the vet, she couldn't have done more for my dog,highly recommended and very appreciative of all the staff that helped, he is now at home resting and back to his normal self.

Staff always really friendly and make a fuss of my dog. They make you feel important and that they care. I am booking my dog in for a dental operation soon and have full trust in them.

Friendly and efficient service. Well laid out waiting area with plenty of informative material to read. The vet took the time to listen to us and thoroughly examined our pet before explaining in detail the diagnosis.
