Great spot, lovely hotel. Such a shame about breakfast service, terrible. A little more attention from staff would be good. Had to ask for tea and coffee, which was brought to the table with no milk, had to get our own in a glass. No plates available, used tiny side plate. Just little things which make such a difference. What a shame. Oh and something scratching in the roof all night.

Going to wedding. Inability of staff despite calling 4 hours in advance, to get a room ready to get washed and changed in for the wedding at that hotel. So have to do long drive in wedding gear. Low thinking capacity for what customer needs.
Fortunately they are in line with a lot of these older hotels who are actually customer focused.
I am sure the room is fine.

We came here having moderate expectations and hopes of a much needed 24hour break. What an amazing place. We just fell in love with the lovely old building, pretty rooms, snug bar and outstanding restaurant. We have had the best time, best company, best fun, best food and service plus we get to stay over and have a slap-up breakfast. I think this may become our bolt hole on a regular basis. If you're a foodie like us, the 5-course tasting menu is a must and the reasonably priced wine flight is a no-brainer. The Moonraker is a superb example of a quintessentially English hotel, run with love
