Picking pears in the garden. Collecting eggs from chickens and ducks. Building a tottering tower of bricks in our kids' club. There's heaps here to keep little ones happy. You can join the family fun or take some time out - a solitary swim in the pool, perhaps a candlelit dinner for two - you are on holiday, after all.

Beautiful hotel with engaging and attentive staff that makes for a great break with kids.
Even with a grouchy, teething baby we had an excellent stay here. The staff are amazing - rapidly responding to everything and great with all the kids, the facilities for babies and adults (from baby sensory to the pool and spa) are excellent, and the food was fantastic for both us and our weaning baby.

Beautiful Jacobean Manor. We didn’t stay there but went for a three course Sunday dinner. Very relaxed atmosphere. The food was very good. The roast beef melted in your mouth. Beautifully presented. The staff were really friendly and helpful. It was a real treat and we said we would love to come back and stay over.

Spa, indoor pool and steam room were great and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. In fact we began to plan our next visit there and then as the hotel is absolutely beautiful.
However, when it came to lunch it was very disappointing. Food took a while to come out but quality and taste made up for the wait. Service - I would not even score it 1 star. We were practically ignored the entire time. It was a very hot day and although to eat outside felt like a good idea to begin with very soon we realised that it was very hot and uncomfortable. Not one person came to see if we were OK, offered
