The Lucknam Park hotel & spa is absolutely incredible. The hotel services is amazing, and the spa is the best. The outdoor heated pool is so peaceful. Classic and Garden rooms are more subdued, less of a flourish of fabrics, and slightly more contemporary. We ate at the restaurant and in the bistro and everything we ate was delicious. The six-course tasting menus are pretty filling. The Brasserie, by the spa, is more relaxed: drop by for coffee and pastries, wood-fired pizza, and light suppers—Cornish bream or even a rump-steak burger. Professional and more friendly staff member entertain and

I visited the hotel for afternoon tea. The atmosphere was amazing, drinking tea in a relaxing lounge, the afternoon tea delicious, the staff very friendly! We had a tour in the public areas of the hotel, and… everything was so cosy and beautiful but next time we should come back to dine at the restaurant among all of these paintings of ancient Athens! The park is so beautiful but the most intrigued situation was to see the hotel at the end of that amazing mile from the entrance in a super foggy day ! But the fog made everything more beautiful and mysterious!

I arranged a bridal tea for my daughter who was getting married that weekend. Our party included the bride and groom, my mother, two sisters and niece. The grounds were absolutely breathtaking, I wish we had arrived earlier to see more of them. We were seated for tea in a living room area and eventually were able to order. My sister joined us late, after we had placed out tea orders. When they brought our sandwiches and scones my sister ordered tea for herself. They never brought it. She asked again after flagging down someone. She eventually had to find the kitchen to get her tea. After

Cozy and atmospheric. We had a wine and an excellent rye old fashioned in the library. Would have been 5 stars had we been offered nibbles. Get a photo of the Japanese maple before the leaves fall.

Place is fantastic. Rooms are great big and spacious.
What let it down was the breakfast what a faff there no buffet for pastries, fruit, cereals toast etc you have to order it though the waitress and your cooked breakfast and they bring one out soon as you've finished the next one's straight out very poor the cooked breakfast was over cooked eggs like bullets bacon over cooked told the waitress and nothing no apologies very dissatisfied especially when they charge £32 for the painful pleasure of eating it

Forget your worries and delegate entertaining little ones. Great start at Thatchers Cottage. Peaceful retreat (a short stroll from the main hotel and spa) and moments away was a treasure trove of outdoor and indoor facilities for youngsters. I watched (and joined in) as my 4yr old niece explored toys, climbing castles, outdoor percussion selection and chalet full of all sorts of games. The Brasserie served excellent food at reasonable prices and all staff, without exception were friendly and informed. Felt very welcome. Equestrian options available too and you can walk for 2 hours and remain in

On the whole the hotel was lovely, relaxing and quiet.
The service was excellent from Tues to Friday however the hotel became a lot busier at the weekend and the service at breakfast on Saturday morning was very very slow and my food had clearly been put under a grill to either heat up or keep warm as it was a bit crispy. All other mornings it had been good.
I was also disappointed by our experience in the Brasserie. I asked for some chicken to be added to a salad and was told it was possible but the price would increase by £7 (from £19 to £26) which is ridiculous so I opted not to proceed

Booked for my girlfriends birthday & it was absolutely fantastic. Every expectation was exceeded. As well as the girlfriend my dog also joined us & on arrival our dog had a bed with toys, treats, towels etc. Entrance driveway is stunning, don’t make the mistake of following google maps it will take in the back way & you’ll miss that wow factor of… the driveway arriving, follow the signs. Food was out of this world amazing, pool & heated outdoor jacuzzi was perfect. Everything we ate was unbelievable. Service from the staff was also exceptional. Highly recommend

Disappointing… we booked our in-laws in for the weekend for a 70th birthday. The Michelin restaurant was closed on the Saturday evening and despite being there all day received no notification. This was a pre paid meal. We also met them on the Saturday for afternoon tea and we’re ushered to a table in reception! It was really difficult to hold a… conversation with people checking in and trying on welly Boots next to us …. On complaint the in laws were offered an upgrade if they return from Devon !
Don’t waste your money, go somewhere where they actually care about

Stayed in a few luxury country house hotels, but this is my favourite so far. Stunning house and grounds, great facilities so you never want to leave. The spa is fantastic the nicest one I've ever used. This place is geared up for you to do as much or as little as you like. The staff are friendly and attentive and nothing is too much trouble. The room we had was lovely and tastefully decorated. And finally the food! We had one evening in the restaurant and had the tasting menu, the food was fantastic but if I'm honest the service a little slow, we didn't get our final course until nearly 10.30

A stay so good we extended it twice! Ended up staying at Lucknam Park for 7 nights and 8 days because we couldn't quite bring ourselves to leave (and it was our first, much needed, holiday since the pandemic!). LP is such a beautiful house/hotel. We love trampling around the grounds and beautiful gardens, eating in both restaurants, and lounging in the spa.
We stayed in a Manor Room - probably worth it for the extra space, great views and amazing bathrooms. Ask for a refurbished room as they really are lovely and in keeping with the personality of the hotel.
Looking forward to the spa and gym

It was my uncle's idea to spend the New Year here at Lucknam Park. The hotel and the grounds are beautiful. But I would not recommended coming here around this time of year. The package was £1000 per day, with food and celebration included. However, the restaurant was not up to its usual parr during this time. The food wasn't as good as the normal night. The service for breakfast is very slow, also very prone to errors. I ordered haddock hash with a side of sausage and baked beans but I didn't get what I ordered. Then I had to wait almost 30 minutes to get an order of haddock with

Stayed here for 3 days in July 2012 and honestly I did not know completely what to expect when arriving at the hotel but I was pleasantly surprised. The grounds are HUGe and thats an understatement! The hotel itself is not too big which is good in my book and it feels as if you are staying in an old castle in a way. I stayed in the Lilac suite and its adjoining room (forgot its name). The set up was very roomy for a european hotel and had an older but still modern feel/decor. The staff is superb and every single one of them was courteous and helpful. They have two restaurants on the property

I had a rare chance to stay here in a standard room. A lovely building situated in a park grounds - make sure you drive up to the gate and it'll open automatically (not signed as such), driving up a tree-lined avenue to the gate house, you can have your car valet parked as well.

We had a small bottle of champagne waiting in the room for us and a fruit bowl as well along with a lovely welcome message for us. The toiletries were Anne Semonin, Paris. A tea tray is charged at a few pounds and is delivered to your room and comes with fresh cold milk. The standard room is small but cosy with a
