After our refurbishment in January the inn is now fully re opened and looking forward to welcoming customers new and old. The Carpenters Arms is located in the tranquil village of Stanton Wick, Pensford which is situated in the heart of the Chew Valley. We are conveniently located 8.5 miles from Bristol Airport and 8 miles from the historic city of Bath.
Converted from a row of old miners' cottages, the Carpenters Arms boasts 13 en-suite bedrooms which are located on the first floor. Beamed ceilings, fine food and log fires in our pub restaurant set the scene for a relaxed experience. In the summer unwind in our outdoor alfresco seating area with views of the beautiful Chew Valley.

Someone must really love this place and understand service well. It's a lovely old building in a peaceful spot, beautifully kitted out with stylish artwork. Welcome was good and my room was comfortable had an excellent shower.
The evening meal, included in my deal, was very good indeed. A high standard of flavours and presentation. Service was very attentive and responsive. The bar and restaurant areas are lovely and cosy, but not cramped. The whole place has a nice vibe.
I had kippers for breakfast....usually a good test of quality...and they were cooked to perfection.
