Whoever runs their pub The Grove in Exmouth is an absolute creature of pure arrogance. Do not dare to review and criticise especially their prices as you will just be informed their establishment is above your means although it’s simply just a nice pub in a nice spot the manager clearly thinks it’s the Savoy and they should cater for a certain element and presumes anyone who dares to criticise is a mere peasant.
As a regular visitor of Exmouth I would rather go bin dipping than go back into an establishment that is clearly run by complete snobbery.
Times have changed and outdated dinosaurs

Avoid eating here at all costs. I contracted the CAMPYLOBACTER bacteria at the White Hart Sherfield and subsequently had violent FOOD POISONING for an entire week. The restaurant appointed someone to investigate who found nothing untoward in the restaurants usual practices but had some glaring omissions from their report including the fact they had interrogated me on what I and family had eaten at home prior to this and the fact none of them were ill despite us eating the same meals and the meal at the restaurant being the only different one and also made the claim that campylobacter is caused

Dreadfully rude service! Went there for dinner recently. There were three servers on the floor, all of whom were nasty and rude. The rules around covid were not clear from the beginning, and instead of… explaining to us, they yelled at us and made us feel very uncomfortable. At a time when pubs are struggling, you’d think they would do everything they can to keep customers, not push them away. We will not be returning here ever, and I cannot recommend them to anyone.

I have drunk and eaten at the foley arms for forty years, sometimes I have moaned but mostly enjoyed. The current host vinnie is by far the most enjoyable person to manage the pub and hotel. He handles the staff the customers and all callers amazingly well. Charming man

The Marlborough Richmond Surrey
Quite possible the worst pub experience I have had.
Service No
Food over priced, and I mean really over priced and poor quality. I also run a food business and the sharing board for £22 consisted of 6 slices of meat (cheap meat) 1 piece of cheddar, 3 dried apricots some crackers and three chunks of bread. I could put this board together for about £2.50 but would not dream of charging more than £7.50 for it at that value. It is small for one but impossible to share.
Service Still No
Track and Trace No
Other customers No
So why is there still no service.

We booked a Table at the White Hart, Barnes last Evening Fri Oct 20 @ 18.00.
The was a Lady inside Front Entrance checking people in. I am very conscious of COVID & I mentioned to the Lady that the place felt Stuffy with ALL Windows & Doors Shut tight.
She replied that it was Cold with Doors open and as a result we didn’t stay.
The Government advice is for max ventilation, this was not good enough & your Staff should be made aware of this!

Why was The Lamb Inn at Hindon which is owned by Young's Brewery understaffed over Easter? The Manager was on holiday on Easter Sunday, which left two young girls running the Dining Room, and the Deputy Manager was on his own in the bar. The Hotel was fully booked and very busy, so surely Young's Brewery should realise this popular Hotel requires full staff.

I was D J ing @ the old Brewery on Sat 26/ 05 / 18, at a private function, I was not given any specific Time to finish playing, At approx 11.15 PM the manager approached me and said turn the F---ing music off, Which shocked me So I started to close down , So I asked why he was SO RUDE, And he was abusive To me , and said I should have stopped 10 minutes ago, I tried to explain that I did not know that, In 25 years of D J ing never been spoken to like that, That man should not be in the leisure industry , with his attitude .

Truly terrible experience, sadly, as the location overlooking the Thames and the exceptional effort taken by my host to make it a Christmas dinner to remember were both ruined by appalling service, inedible food and a 'couldn't care less' attitude.

Had a dreadfully overpriced lunch (£26 for 2 glasses of merlot!!) at their Sherfield, Basingstoke, branch. Branch manager refused to speak to us at the time, and the head office refuses to answer any emails or letters. Don't go there!
