Old Royal Ship
A large selection of classic English dishes and traditional pub meals from across the world. A good selection of locally sourced ales, accompanied by delicious cider, lager and wines. Lots of comfortable indoor seating, with large outdoor seating and play area for better weather. There is something on the menu for everyone's taste, especially with such a large choice on the specials board.

The service at the bar and waitress service at the table was quick and efficient, which made the evening even more enjoyable. Well done to the top quality staff. This pub is a gem, absolutely lovely food for all the family, we have been here for lunch, evening meal and for just a drink, and the food is of the same high standard every time!

Stopped in for lunch. My wife had the sea bass and I had the club sandwich. Large portions, the sea bass was fantastic and the sandwich would satisfy anyone after a day tilling the fields. Great ambiance and friendly staff.

Lovely meal for my sister in law s birthday. Travelled from South Wales and it was worth it. Well cooked food and good selection to chose from.

Delicious food ruined by the very rude man (apparently the manager) behind the bar. The waitresses were lovely, food was yummy. When we approached the bar to inform him we'd have dessert outside because it was noisy inside, the man we spoke with raised his eyebrows at us, ignored us & looked royally peed off that we dare say that. A waitress walked past & he just looked at her, said her name & pointed at us saying 'desserts' & walked away. Arrogant & rude to his staff. Beacuse of him, I wouldn't go back there.

On the plus side it's a pleasant place, nice atmosphere, friendly serving staff. On the minus side we waited an hour for our food, on a not particularly busy night. I had a tagine that was delicious, but my partner had a goat's cheese tart that was bland, served with a lame excuse for a salad, and undercooked boiled potatoes, one of which was bad.

NOT biker friendly. Asked if we could order some food and sit outside and they said yes, so we ordered our drinks while we looked at the menu. Less than 10 minutes later we went to order food at the bar and was told it would be over half an hour before we could even place our order for food as they were too busy, but only a few tables filled inside. Not a welcoming atmosphere at all.

Had a large make over , really nice surroundings. You can sit out in the garden . Menu is big and varied.
Staff are great .
Only downside the chips were not crisp ( bordering on soggy).
That said worth the visit , shall be going back.
