Warm, clean room, great bed and shower, welcoming hosts
We were there for a wedding tasting so did not try the main menu, but what we had was a credit to the chefs
Highly recommended for a stay

Love this pub. The atmosphere is welcoming and cosy . The staff are cheerful, friendly and very helpful and the food is stunning. Congratulations to the landlord for keeping the ambience of days gone by, during these covid ridden times. I would highly recommend the Holford Arms 😊

The food was very high quality but don't bother if you're hungry. I had the venison which was lovely but the smear of horseradish mash on the bottom of the plate and 3 sprigs of brocoli hardly covered a ¼ of the plate.
But what spoilt the evening was the table of local drunks that were allowed free rule in the pub.
The constant shouting , swearing, man hugging, telling each other how they "get each other "and the undying love they have for each other completely ruined it for the remainder of guests. The bar staff couldn't seem to care less and were happy to keep the drinks flowing even after

Proper cosy pub, open fire, oak beams, lovely place. The Sunday roast was top drawer, one of the best cuts of beef I’ve had in a long time. Will be back again!

Lovely explore of the Holford Arms. Great atmosphere, good - but limited - vegan options. Fantastic venue for a party! We hope to have one there soon. Thanks to the team who took us round.

We loved our stay in the lovely log chalet, so warm and cosy. The best bit was definately the pub - log fire, bustling lovely atmosphere, great staff and delicious food. The wine went down very well too. Highly reccomend!!!

Great place! Great vibe! Great food! Great staff! Great accommodation! Great COVID friendly outdoor space! What’s not to like? I thoroughly recommend. 18 far flung friends and family met here for the weekend,… the first face to face since covid. Utterly marvellous place to meet up. And did I say great food and service? Hats off all at The Halfords Arms.

Brilliant wedding venue. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. The food was excellent. Initial impression on arrival was that the place was a bit tired but as soon as we got in it turned out to be a gem. Definitely recommend.

We had our wedding at the Holford Arms recently and had a fantastic experience - from our very first visit back in 2019 right through to the big weekend two years later.
The owners, Pete and Tor, were always really warm, hospitable and so accommodating - they made the whole process of having to postpone the wedding due to the pandemic really… painless.
Unlike some wedding venues (which we found to be a bit prescriptive in terms of schedule/food/use of venue etc) there was plenty of flexibility so we were able to have all the little details we wanted.
As a wedding venue it has a lovely, relaxed

We stayed here in the glamping tents. We were greeted briefly in a pub reception by the staff that were lovely but very rushed off their feet and can tell they were under staffed. We were given a map and basically sent on our way. The “glamping tents” were dirty only provided with an old kettle some dirty chairs and a lamp. No thought was really put into the atmosphere. Some nice fairy lights, a mini fridge, a rug, maybe a gas stove and a nicely thought out hamper with tea, coffee, samples of the locally produced jam and chutneys or a list of things to do would’ve been lovely and made it

Really nice ambience. Very good facilities and wonderful food. We went there for a wedding and certainly plan a return trip for a meal at some point. Drinks seemed to be a little pricey (£11.50 for a pint of cider and a g&t) but I'm not a regular pub-goer these days, so I maybe a little out-of-touch with current pub prices!

Stayed at the holford arms for a week camping alone with my dog and I had a fantastic chilled out week. The staff are amazing, very welcoming made me feel right at home. Atmosphere is great and fab location if you want to get away from everything and just relax. Would highly recommend. I will definitely be back.

Beautiful surroundings, absolutely loved the grounds. Th chalet was just perfect, looked beautiful and simple but with all the little touches that shows attention to detail. And super clean. Crisp white sheets and white fluffy towels, which is such a luxury. Pub food was superb. Breakfast was absolutely fab, and we ate while watching a little goldfinch outside plucking fluff out of a thistle flower, waving about in the wind, for over 5 minutes! We loved our stay 🤩

Tented on motorbikes over a wet weekend in June. Initial reception was odd. Opening at noon, so I arrived at 1245. All locked up, a member of bar staff finally responded to tapping on the window. Brusquely asked to sign terms and conditions, given a site plan and a brief verbal on where to go.
Car park and 'roads' are rough gravel, so bikers beware.
Site facilities were mainly good. Large room with a WC, sink, sanitiser.
Didn't use washing up area or showers.
Bar staff excellent and meals absolutely first rate. Great range of beers, locally brewed.
Friday night was really noisy until after
