Worcester Funeral Service is a fully independent, family owned funeral directors, led by Funeral Director Craig Smith. Craig and Sharon have over 15 years of experience in the funeral business, having worked for both large and small companies. Craig and Sharon find it easy to put people at ease and to comfort families at a very difficult time.

We are very proud of our facilities at our office on Kilbury Drive, Worcester, WR5 2NE. We provide a friendly, warm and peaceful environment including a private chapel of rest where families can pay their last respects to their loved ones. Our premises have been professionally designed to our specification and provide all the facilities which would be expected of a modern and professional funeral home.

The first thing you should do is contact the doctor and inform him/her who will then come out to certify that the person has died. The doctor may issue you with a death certificate on the day or may ask you to pick it up from the surgery a day or so later. The doctor may refer the death to the Coroner, especially if the death was unexpected.

Craig and the team at Worcester funeral services were wonderful from start to finish. Took the stress out of organising our little girls service which helped greatly in such a traumatic time. They were flexible and accommodating with our slightly unconventional service while staying professional at all times. I'm glad they will be there to help other families through the funeral process as they really did make it as easy and as positive of an experience as possible.

My mum had a funeral plan with a company called Avalon. This company was the nominated funeral director. When she passed away I phoned their 24 hour bereavement line on 3 separate occasions and every time it went to answer phone. I phoned Avalon and luckily i was able to switch the plan to another funeral director.

Great service from Sharon. Very understanding lady, provided me with every information I needed to help me out with cremation and the transport of my grandma's ashes. The ashes were delivered safely and she even rescheduled the delivery when I couldn't get a day off from work to collect the ashes. Wonderful lady.

My beloved Mum sadly died last month and in her will asked for a direct cremation. I contacted Worcester Funeral Service and they were simply outstanding from start to finish. Sharon has been blessed with the gift of a genuinely patient, gentle voice and a kind, caring soul and it was always a lovely experience talking to her. Craig has an amazing positive, caring energy about him and literally bends over backwards to be as helpful and as efficient as he could possibly be. They are a brilliant team. Today Mum's ashes were hand delivered to me and the gentleman who delivered them was utterly courteous

Outstanding service. When my husband died Sharon and Craig explained everything that needed to be done. My husband died not long before midnight, yet Craig drove to the other side of Hereford to collect his body so that I didn't have the extra expense of having a local funeral director having to remove the body overnight. Any questions we had were answered,and they were both very helpful and professional. I would happily recommend this company to anyone.
