Services
Transport from our premises to our chosen local crematorium at a time and date chosen by Attwood Funerals. More and more people are choosing this innovative option which gives you the opportunity to create a completely personalised ceremony which celebrates the life of your loved one in an alternative venue, for example a hotel, pub, village hall, our intimate ceremony room or even your own home or garden (dependent on access).
There is a large available range of coffins, caskets and urns and we have listed here a selection in price and style to choose from. The Pine casket is made from the sustainable pine, which has been grown under controlled conditions in the northern hemisphere. A solid casket with a smooth surface, unwaxed and untreated, allowing the natural grain to be seen at its best on the gently curved lid.
In addition to the traditional black hearse we offer the service of transporting the coffin to the venue ourselves with our fully equipped Grand Voyager affording us a discreet and dignified method of transport. As a family we would like to thank Mike and Kate for helping us organise the funeral Vicky requested, nothing was too.
It is important to let others know of your wishes for your funeral and some people also like to pre-pay for the arrangements. Many people do not make their loved ones aware of their funeral wishes and when the time comes, relatives are left second guessing what would be best.
A way to make it very easy for your loved ones is to write down your wishes and leave them in a pre-arranged place either digitally on a computer or print them off and let others know where to find them.Download our useful PDF questionnaire which covers everything from questions such as burial or cremation, coffin type to music.

At Attwood Funerals we know how important it can be for families to be fully involved in the preparation for a funeral and we happily involve families in all aspects of the funeral preparation. We are a small family company and we work with your family as a team throughout the process. We believe this is fundamental to your grieving and healing.

We can only recommend Attwoods. In a time of loss, we found they delivered the three things that really mattered to us
1/ A gentle and kind family business who listened to what we would like in the service and proceedings (whilst providing suggestions and ideas without any pressure),
2/ An ability to work with other people and companies to completely tailor the memorial service to give a truly loving and bespoke send off
3/ Smooth and efficient behind the scenes co-ordination to make it all happen on the day - meaning we could focus on the importance of the day and 'send off' itself.

I would highly recommend Kate & Mike at Attwood Funerals. The service from them was excellent from beginning to end and the cost was reasonable. I sorted all family flowers through them which were all beautiful and as requested.
On the day of the funeral everything was just perfect, thank you both for making sure this happened.
Many thanks from myself Heidi and the family.

I wholeheartedly recommend Mike and Kate’s compassionate and caring service at Attwood Funerals. I particularly appreciated their unassuming approach and their quiet and considerate guidance throughout the entire arrangements. Kate was the perfect celebrant and her kind and wise words gave me the strength I needed and will always resonate with me.

Kate and Mike from Attwoods were so caring and helpful with arranging my Moms funeral. I highly recommend them. Mike walked in front of the coffin to and fro the house and again into the Crematorium. Such a beautiful old fashioned respectful thing to do. We were all so very grateful and I know that my Mom would have been thrilled with Mikes final mark of respect. Thank you for looking after us at such a difficult time.

When I first contacted Kate on the day my Grandfather passed away, I had a million questions and we were after (I hate the word basic) but basically a simple funeral.
From the moment they came to collect him from the house, they brought rosemary for everyone, what a nice gesture, very sympathetic and they obviously do this a lot, however they made the whole experience as though we were the only ones they were dealing with.
I liked Kate from the start, very warming to speak to.
Right up until the service, just throughly professional and traditional
Mike was very professional and walked ahead

When I first spoke to Kate, via the telephone to arrange my husbands funeral, it felt like we had known each other for a long time. Every phone call and email was replied to promptly by either Mike or Kate. Under the current circumstances you both went above and beyond for our family. The Taylor family would like to thanks you both for your sincere kindness.

Mike and Kate of Attwood Funerals organised the funeral of my wife without fuss and with the deepest respect for the feelings of my children and me, thereby alleviating much of the stress arising from such sad occasions. On the day, the funeral was conducted flawlessly thanks to the sensitivity and attention to detail given by Mike and Kate, for which we are very grateful.
The costs were most reasonable and I highly recommend their services.
