As independent funeral directors, we take particular pride in offering funeral plans from Perfect Choice. A Perfect Choice Funeral Plan guarantees that the funeral director's costs will be covered, no matter how much prices rise.

As long as the original funeral directing firm carries out your funeral and your requirements don't change, your family won't be asked to pay a penny more for your funeral director's costs regardless of how long you live or what happens to costs in the meantime.Perfect Choice plans can include an allowance towards third party costs such as the fees for cremation or burial, medical fees and payment to a minister or officiant.
The first steps to be taken when a death occurs are often the hardest for people to make. At R.L.Rea we have experienced local staff on call at all times to answer the telephone personally. To attend to moving a deceased person from the place at which they have died, and trained staff available at all times to deal with any questions.
We can arrange for the person who has died to be brought into our care and are on hand to provide support and help throughout this difficult time. We are contactable at any time of the day or night every day of the year, when our experienced staff will be on hand to support and assist you. We will need to know where you would like the deceased to rest before the funeral.
There is a move to make it compulsory to opt out of organ donation, rather than following the current practice of having to opt in by carrying a donor card. The move is because of the shortage of donors and because of the difficulty many health professionals experience in asking for permission when relatives may be in a state of extreme shock, perhaps after a traffic accident, or after turning off a life-support machine.
One part of the 'funeral process' that your funeral director will not be able to do for you is to register the death. This needs to be completed by the legally responsible person, normally a relative or executor, someone present at the death, the occupier of the premises where the death occurred, or the person arranging for the funeral.
