A quintessential village inn serving delicious food, a friendly welcome and three brand new stylish ensuite bedrooms. We're located on the edge of the North York Moors National Park only 4 miles from the World Famous Black Swan at Olstead. We serve delicious homemade food from locally sourced ingredients, local hand-pulled ales and a selection of great wines.
We also have 3 brand-new bed and breakfast rooms (please note access with up steep stairs due to the layout of the building). Both our restaurants can be booked as private dining rooms. Our Traditional restaurant can accommodate up to 16 and our new restaurant up to 12. They provide the ideal venue for family get togethers, parties or just catching up with friends.

Services
Our passion for homemade food produces consistently delicious dishes from locally sourced produce. Enjoy a varied menu derived from locally sourced ingredients. Meals can be served at tables within the bar or in one of our two separate restaurant rooms. We also have three outside beer garden areas with outdoor seating/tables.
There are a wealth of attractions surrounding Ampleforth. Even more local are lots of gorgeous scenic walks either through the woods, upon the hilltops or around or world famous private college, Ampleforth Abbey. Please note we are currently eagerly awaiting our new Chef to start in October when we will be reopening our restaurant Wednesday to Saturday evenings and Sunday Lunch.

A pub that ticks all the boxes, 1700 Inn with open fireplace, wood beams, dog friendly, great beers and wines, and fabulous Sunday lunch, certainly the best Sunday dinner for miles, dietary requirements are no problem for the chef as he will adjust the menu for your requirements. Look forward to going back again.
