We continually invest in our team, our infrastructure and our facilities.
Services
Chantry Vets has been providing veterinary care to the pets of West Yorkshire for more than 60 years. Originally based in Wakefield Town Centre, we have expanded into one of area's largest Small Animal practices. We have 5 branches which are all supported by our main Hospital in Alverthorpe. We moved the main site to its current location on Batley Road in 2012.
Chantry Vets are pleased to announce the relocation of our Wakefield Gills Yard Surgery, into a newly refurbished site on Northgate. Although our Gills Yard Surgery was very dear to our hearts; the move means we can now offer a superior service to our clients and patients, in fresh new facilities.
Our veterinary practice has established itself amongst the local community and now provides care to thousands of pets every year. We know as well as anyone that you consider your pet to be a member of your family. That is why the whole team here at the practice work hard to provide the very best veterinary care services.
People tend to think it's only older pets that get ill and therefore younger pets don't need pet insurance but we know from the patients we see each day that that is not the case. In fact, the younger your pet is when you insure them the better as it means you are less likely to have any existing conditions, which may not be covered by the policy and you can then receive more help covering the cost of any future treatment your pet needs.
We are proud to say that Chantry Vets has achieved The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) Accredited Practice status and our Alverthorpe Surgery in an RCVS Accredited Hospital. The RCVS scheme began in 2005 as a way for veterinary practices to be independently inspected and accredited.

The accreditation process is continual and is designed to reassure clients that the veterinary practice they have chosen for their pet, maintains high standards and conforms to all relevant UK regulations.
