Services
Beechwood Vets first came to Leeds when Roger Bouvet and Walter Butterfield established a practice in Crossgates in 1958, dealing with both farms and small animals. As the Beechwood reputation grew, so did our client base. We opened a site on Harehills Lane, which in 1991 was moved to our Chapel Allerton clinic, followed by our Beeston Branch in 1975.
Brachycephalic obstructive airway syndrome is an increasing problem, and we offer surgery to help to keep affected breeds of dog, cat and rabbit healthy. We have veterinary experience and advanced equipment to ensure your pet can receive the best cardiac care. We have modern facilities and many years of experience performing surgeries on small animals.
If you and your pet find yourself in an emergency situation during our opening hours, please call ahead to advise us that you are attending the practice so that we can ensure we are ready for your arrival. Our out of hours service is supplied by Leeds Emergency Vets in Morley, who provide a dedicated 24-hour nursing service.
One of our lovely vets will shortly be hearing the patter of tiny feet and so we are looking for a kind and caring veterinary surgeon to join our 4 (hopefully soon to be 5) site, small animal practice in Leeds. This is a permanent position (due to our expansion) and would suit a vet with some experience, who is looking to provide a high standard of patient and client care as part of a friendly and supportive team.
Everybody will process this grief differently, and we are here to listen with compassion and without judgement if you need somebody to talk to. Our experienced team can discuss your options to guide you through this process in a sensitive and humane manner. Putting your pet to sleep is a very difficult decision, and we understand how difficult it can be.

And without the help of your wonderful vet and the onwards help given. We wouldn't want to think what may have been or what could have happened. You are a truly amazing people. Thank you. Friendly staff, always put the welfare of animals first. The waiting room can get a bit noisy with all the various animals if it's busy so keep in mind if your pet has a nervous disposition, but still better than other vets in this regard. Prices compare favourably to other vets in general area and the vets and nurses have always gone the extra mile to make sure our pets get the attention and care they need when they need it. Highly recommended.
