Holly House Veterinary Hospital
Holly House is an RCVS Accredited Small Animal Hospital, treating cats and dogs as well as a wide range of exotic pets, from rabbits to reptiles. The team has been serving the pets of Leeds for over two decades, so you may already know how dedicated we all are to providing high standard pet care in a compassionate, family oriented way.

In 2010 we succeeded in our dream of becoming the first Veterinary Hospital in North Leeds. This means that the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) has inspected our Street Lane practice as part of the Practice Standards Scheme and agreed that our facilities, equipment and also our levels of care and expertise reach Hospital standard.
Services
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse or a 2nd Year SVN to join our fantastic team. Holly House Veterinary Hospital is keen to help develop the vets of tomorrow, today. For this reason, we offer EMS placements to veterinary students in years 3, 4 or 5 of their university studies.
Whilst we make every effort to satisfy all of our clients and their pets, we would welcome your feedback, good and bad. We sincerely hope that you will never have to complain about our services, but if you feel the need to alert us to a problem, please be assured that your complaint will be dealt with fairly and we will listen to your views.
Holly House provides the only 24 hour on-site emergency veterinary service in North Leeds through Ark Referrals. Emergency appointments are available at our Street Lane hospital at all times on weekdays, weekends and bank holidays. During normal opening hours, a vet will be present on-site, however they may already be working with sick animals.
We are proud to be one of the only Veterinary Practices within the UK to have an onsite Behaviourist, Hazel Shimmin MSc, KCAI(CD), CAB. Hazel is a a Clinical Animal Behaviourist and a full member of the APBC and registered as a CAB with the ABTC. She is also a Kennel Club accredited Dog Trainer and has a MSc in Applied Animal Behaviour and Welfare with decades of experience working with dogs.
To help us get to know you and your pet better, please answer these questions before your appointment (appointments must be booked in advance). Where do you keep your pet? type, size, furnishings, inside/outside? Which room?, if outside is there a shelter for night-time and has it been moved recently?:
