Situated in the semi-rural location of Wick, our aim is to provide a fun, safe setting in which children can learn through play. This provides children with a solid foundation upon which to build once they start school. Wick Pre-School is a registered charity, registration number 1007881 and a member of the Pre-School Alliance. The Busy Bees had a great morning at Warleigh Lodge Farm recently where they had a tractor ride to feed the cows.
Services
In the past couple of years we have taken the children on a day trip to Warleigh Farm in Bathford. The trip includes a tractor ride, feeding lambs, grooming ponies, collecting eggs and eating lunch in the barn sat on hay bales! The children love the whole day, from getting on the coach with the staff to discovering the 'magic hole in the big tree'!
We currently employ 12 members of staff. At each session we maintain a ratio of 1 qualified person to every 8 children aged 3 and upwards and 1 qualified person to every 4 children aged under 3 years. We operate a Keyperson system which means that each child in our care is assigned to a member of staff.
