Oldland Pre-School was established over 50 years ago and provides high quality care and education for children aged two to five years, before they begin school. We offer care between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during school term times (see Hours & Fees for more info). We have two pre-school rooms, each of which can have up to 20 children, which provide a motivating play and early learning environment for your children.

Our goal is to help your child learn to integrate with other children and adults through creative playing, and learning whilst maintaining their own individuality, together with the provision of a sound early years education following the national curriculum guidelines. We are proud to be part of the local community in Oldland Common, and have close links with our local schools.
Services
Our fully qualified and experienced members of staff ensure that all of our children's needs are met as closely as possible, including any children with special needs. All of our permanent staff are qualified to at least early years educator Level 3 and the pre-school manager is qualified to degree level.
Children start to learn about the world from the moment they are born and we believe that children learn most effectively through creative play. We aim to help your child continue to learn by providing them with interesting activities that are suitable for their age and stage of development. We introduce the children to a simple routine, which helps children know what to expect and helps prepare them for school.
We can offer free childcare hours for children eligible to receive the Nursery Education Grant. Families can use the full amount of free hours across any pattern of sessions in the week. This funding is offered by the UK Government to all children from the term after your child's 3rd birthday. All children receive at least 15 hours, and many children can claim 30 hours.
