Staithes is a historic village located on the beautiful North York Moors coast just 20 minutes' drive from Whitby. The old part of the village is set around a harbour and a series of ravines which shelters the historic cottages from the ravages of the North Sea and gives rise its unique setting which has remained unchanged for hundreds of years.
It is a haven for both adults and children with a wide range of activities available at all times of the year. All our cottages are within a short walk distance of each other, so are perfect if you are planning a get-together for a larger group. For help planning your holiday activities or to know more about what's on in both Staithes and the surrounding area please visit our new Blog for some "Ingspiration"!

We stayed at Cinder Path over Christmas and had a lovely time. The cottage is deceptively roomy and very comfortable with spacious bedrooms and well equipped kitchen. It's really beautifully decorated with a lot of charm. There are a lot of steep steps up to the cottage so be prepared to carry your luggage but there is some temporary parking… available at the bottom of the steps, it's a bit of a faff moving the car back up to the main car park but as long as you know that it's fine.
Staithes is so nice with lots of little shops, 2 main pubs and lovely walks. Recommend the Butchers for excellent
