DO NOT (and I cannot stress this enough) book your holiday through this company! I'm genuinely shocked by their inappropriate behaviour. They're also actually owned by Sykes Cottages. We booked a supposedly 5* cottage in Whitby called Rooftops Cottage, paying £1100 for 2 people/one week. On arrival, what we found was a shabby and dirty cottage in bad need of a thorough clean and full update. The furniture was old and stained, there was a bizarre hole in the lounge floor and the bed had sand and stains on the fitted sheet. It was clearly a long time since the photos on the website had been taken

I would avoid. We have rented a house that in our opinion is simply not ready. A long list of problems and general uncleanliness. Late responses from the company as they have “200-300 emails every day”. Phone lines nearly always engaged and the feedback page “cannot be found” - the link was sent by the company. We currently have a washing machine door that won’t open, a bathroom door that does not fit, and blind cords that are not attached to the wall, as the nail has come out which is dangerous for kids.

The online information exactly described the superb cottage we rented in Whitby and the staff at the company offices were first class with information and assistance. The unexpected welcome hamper was an added bonus to the comprehensively furnished cottage.
We will definitely use this company again.

We stayed at The Old Post Office in Sandsend and enjoyed 7 delightful days.
The property is compact but well designed and with a touch of luxury that we admired.
A couple of small teething problems were efficiently sorted by the management team.
It was such a pleasure to sit on the sea facing balcony enjoying a coffee on a morning.
Overall very pleased and would not hesitate to recommend this place!

Collected the damage deposit 6 weeks before the stay and then failed to return it despite the accomodation informing them no deductions would be made. Initially had no response to emails or phone calls. Eventually the money was refunded 17 days after the end of our holiday. Would recommend booking directly with the property where possible

We stayed at Ladycross Lodge's Shunner Howe Lodge. What an amazing lodge, absolutely beautiful, only a few whiles from Whitby, situated within a woodland area, absolutely stunning. Definitely going to return here

Stayed at Hutton house with Family and first impressions was great However first day of using the shower and it wouldn't turn off. Shower was left running for a full day as had to wait for a plumber. The plumber couldn't fix so we was left with 1 bath to share for 6 people for the whole week which was a nightmare! Parking is limited your lucky to get even close. The location is at the very top of a hill so this is not suitable for people who are not very fit, and lastly some of the interior door handles need attention because they are that stiff my daughter couldn't get out of her bedroom. Overall

We stayed at The Beach House and had the most marvellous time. The house felt welcoming but with a touch of elegance in each room. It is beautifully decorated with many features that make it feel sumptuous. It is a stones throw to the beach and has a fabulous walk to Whitby along the beach.
This is definitely a house we will come back to time and time again as it was amazing to stay in such a beautiful house which you instantly felt at home in.
The staff who arranged the stay were faultless and their attention to detail was second to none.
5 star house and 5 star company.
